Question on the yammie 1:60 VF-0S Battroid Mode

Just a quick Q for all you VF-0S owners out there. From what I understand, in battroid mode, the VF-0S's wings are supposed to overlap each other when they are folded. When I do this, however, I noticed that the overlapping wings put quite a lot of strain on the backplate they are attached to, stressing not only the backplate itself but also its attachment to the metal bar that holds the battroid's body in place :(

Is leaving my zero in battroid mode with its wings folded going to be harmful in the long run, or am I just being overly paranoid???

So far through my many times of leaving the wings overlap, i have found no problems with the structure at all. I was alittle afraid to do it at first too so I just had the wings not overlap. Looks better with the wings folded though.

Look at the way you are doing it. The wings are only meant to fold over one way. If you are forcing it to go the other way, of course, you are going to ge strain.

I was thinking about that too, but after folding them a few times, i don't think i can reliably determine which wing should be on top...both ways of folding it seems to strain it to me. Does anyone know whether the right wing or the left wing is supposed to on top?

Wings open with missles mounted. The gun arm is supported by the missiles since it does not have the ability to stick straight out and hold the gunpod.

Too afraid to fold the wings over.

What's that line by DD in macross zero again?? Something like "be it a virgin or machine, handle it delicately" -_-

P.S. That's a great idea fly4victory. My zero's gunarm can't really support the gunpod either...i never thought out supporting it with the missles and wings.
