Zinjo Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 (edited) Colored Kawamori cartoons: These first two were colored by grebo guru- This one I did and consider it an ode to Mac 7 fans... - I'd love to know what the writing means on the nose though... Edited November 14, 2006 by Zinjo Quote
grebo guru Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Ha! That last one is really good for a few yuks. And man... I love what you did with the cockpit interior on that one! Quote

Not sure what you mean, all I did was use a blue toned grey for the back part. The canopy however was a gradient which turned out pretty cool... Quote
Mr March Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 That is one hilarious caricature of Kawamori. This is the first time I've ever seen this picture. Got an original version before coloring? The bigger the better Quote

sketchley Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Tomoyo! I can't read the kanji as it's illegible. It also doesn't appear to be a Kawamori original - probably one of the staff artists. Quote

Well how many toons has SK done of himself? Maybe the hi-res version will offer better legibility. Quote
Zinjo Posted November 15, 2006 Author Posted November 15, 2006 As promised the uncolored image: Quote
sketchley Posted November 15, 2006 Posted November 15, 2006 The signature (underwing) looks like HAL. In other words, I believe it was penned by Haruhiko Mikimoto way back in the day. ã¨ã‚‚よåˆå£ translates as "the stern is a daggar". Though that doesn't make much sense... maybe it's an inside joke?
