jenius Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 I'm guessing the OVAs won't be subtitled in English so that wouldn't do much for me. I'm very curious to see if this will be a reissue or will incorporate improvements to the overall design. I would really like for Yamato to get back to basics and not make me buy things I don't want to get a toy i do. Quote
emerson Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Seems like Yamato is reissuing the red Garland. Could this be the redesigned shoulders version? http://www2.moeyo.com/img/06/11/25/3/355.html And it comes with the Ovas! My Garland is fine, but if I see any real improvement on the military issue I just preordered, I'll might have to order this one also If I'm not mistaken, I think this may be the metallic red version that features the same improvements as the Military Color Version. Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 It doesn't look any more metallic than the one I already have. What I really want is some decent figures for my Garlands, like the Chirico Cuvie one. Quote

jenius Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 The question is, is it a second edition? I'd love to see detailed pics of the fragile parts vs the improved parts. I'd love a lot of things though... Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 You're right. It does look metalized on that pic. I would've preferred the military issue to be dull brown, instead of a new metallized red version tho'. But jenius is right: the real question here is if it is a fixed edition or not. Quote
Hikuro Posted November 29, 2006 Posted November 29, 2006 Hmmmmmmm Dunno, I'm tempted just because I want the Yui figure.....maybe then I can box up my first edition cause it's practically junk now...he's got an awful paint smudge on the chest where the magnet would be for the arms in bike mode......and his right arm is broken cause of that fragile shoulder joint. I think some of us should bug tam about the metalic version, THAT and the Military one I'd buy, and I'd sell my first edition garland cheap. Quote

But jenius is right: the real question here is if it is a fixed edition or not. not sure about this: the metallic version is being offered as part of the DVD set on amenbo.com So it may be that to get it you've got to buy disks. check it out: http://www.amenbo.com/cgi-bin/list/toys/diecast/new3-e.cgi [attachmentid=38585] Quote
Hikuro Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 Looks like it comes with a few things outside the First Movie and the garland.....wonder what else is there.... But maaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnn I don't think I'd pay nearly 300 bucks for that. Quote
Excillon Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 I passed on the first one, but I actually like this one more. Just might have to buy it after all... Quote
Fly4victory Posted December 20, 2006 Posted December 20, 2006 That is one for the price of two! How much have the shoulders been improved? Doubt the DVD will play unless have a region free player. Hope the new figures are included in that price. Really want a Garland might have to get the Turd version. Looks like it comes with a few things outside the First Movie and the garland.....wonder what else is there.... But maaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnn I don't think I'd pay nearly 300 bucks for that. Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 I think the goodies on that package includes a CD soundtrack and an art book: The Ultimate Megazone 23 Geek Set. Quote
Major Tom Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 Sorry to bring back the old topic, but I wish Yamato would consider making the transformable Hagun figure sometime in the future. The Garland need to fight a bad guy Quote
ShadowerV2 Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 Heck. I want them to make the EX-Garland from the third Megazone OVA. Quote
Hikuro Posted January 15, 2007 Posted January 15, 2007 The EX-Garland would be nice.......I'd like to see the original Garland, but it didn't look like it could transform. Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Yamato has just stated tru' Graham that a racer paint scheme of the Garland will be released. That brings up hopes for a larger Megazone line... I hope. Quote

That brings up hopes for a larger Megazone line... I hope. Yeah, this is cool. I have a Hobby Japan with a drawing of a racer Garland. I was going to do a custom and this saves me the trouble. Quote
promethuem5 Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 So, how good are the revised shoulders? I wouldnt mind picking up the brown CF-Garland, but not if it;s gonna break... Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted January 16, 2007 Posted January 16, 2007 Yeah, this is cool. I have a Hobby Japan with a drawing of a racer Garland. I was going to do a custom and this saves me the trouble. Can you post that drawing? Quote
wolfx Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Arterlier Sai garlands...more affordable than the yamatos....but its PVC? Are these transformable? Army Type http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10054379 EX http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10054378 Prot Garland http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10054377 Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 (edited) Damn! How can someone order an item with those lousy pictures and poor information? Edited January 17, 2007 by Lonely Soldier Boy Quote

wolfx Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Damn! How can someone order an item with those lousy pictures and poor information? Those are from the faxes that toy shops get from manufacturers hence the bad quality. They'll put better pics when official pics from manufacturer are out. Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 Thanks, wolfx. Guess I'll have to check the link periodically for the oficial pictures, tho' if they don't transform, maybe I should just wait for the eventual Maxfactory Garland. As much as I like Yamato's, I can't get over the flat front wheel. Quote
glane21 Posted January 17, 2007 Posted January 17, 2007 There was a link posted over on TBDX that had very nice multi-angle shots of each finished figure, but their BBS is down. Anyway, they really look great and fairly poseable. I'll be picking up the Garland and Proto Garland at least. Quote
the_foul_fowl Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 One of the local shops over here recently sent an email with coloured pics of the Atelier Sai figures Here ya go! Normal Garland [attachmentid=39682] Proto [attachmentid=39683] EX [attachmentid=39684] Ltd Ver [attachmentid=39685] Quote
wolfx Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Thanks for the photos. They look nice, but too bad they don't transform. Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 Wow! Thanks, man. I was loking for those for hours. How much are those in U$D again? Quote
Fly4victory Posted January 18, 2007 Posted January 18, 2007 (edited) From HLJ: Yen 2,850, Euros €18.27, USD $23.63. The have a save 5% preorder special but no pictures yet. http://www.hlj.com/hljlist2/?Scale=0&M...p;GenreCode=All Edit: at 10 cm or 4 inches what scale is that? Did the math: 1/35 scale Edited January 19, 2007 by Fly4victory Quote
promethuem5 Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 For 25 bucks and in 1/35th scale, they're pretty cool looking.... not transforming kidna stinks, but I'm still tempted to grab one as a csale reference and fool around with figure... Quote
Hikuro Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 (edited) Ya know I find it very odd that the proto garland shown doesn't have all the energy cannon junk on it. It looks VERY similar to the EX=Garland though....but I wonder why the change? Was this what the Protogarland actually looked like? Oh snap nevermind, I read the corner the protogarland is from Part 2......wait wow.......so they didn't rebuild the first garland after Part 1, it was a COMPLETELY different garland....I never knew that. Edited January 19, 2007 by Hikuro Quote
Guppy Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 I love the EX version. The others fuggedaboutid. Quote
bigkid24 Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Man, those look cool but they don't transform? What the heck?! Quote
Hikuro Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Lol who cares? The detail and articulation on these puppies is just phenomenal! The price is a bit much for my tastes, but still they look good. They're all on my want list, the question really is though 0_o will I get them? Quote
gerwalk25 Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Too bad there not part of Kaiyodo's Revoltech line. Quote
