jorawar_b Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 Maybe I should turn my bmw 850 into one of these....lol Quote
mister_e Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 I guess by the RDF logo on the side, we can assume this guy is a Robotech fan rather than a Macross fan. Heh! Still pretty cool. I mean, I would never do it, but it's cool for them Quote
captain america Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 The truck has RDF printed on it. BURN IT BUUURN IIIIT!!!! But seriously, he left out the absolute KOOLest part of all, the skull & crossbones. This doesn't deserve to be made in 1/72 scale Quote
darklord4 Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 I'll wait until there is a Fast Pack Version. Hopefully Hasegawa won't pick it up as I'll then have to by at least 8, with different decal sheets. Quote
CdnShockwave Posted November 9, 2006 Posted November 9, 2006 I'm a bit of a lurker, but even I have to open my yap to say that's pretty freakin cool. Quote
THOR Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 I was going to make my Jeep into a Destroid Support Vehicle... -THOR Quote

Hurin Posted November 10, 2006 Posted November 10, 2006 That "RDF" on it makes a solitary tear slowly roll down my cheek. Quote
HWR MKII Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 LONG LIVE ROBOTECH!!!!!!!!!!! *SMACK* Get some sense man! Quote
jenius Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 Meh, needs some panel-lining and some weathering. Quote
mister_e Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 HOLY FOCKER! I think you mean HOLY FOKKER Quote
Skull-1 Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 I think you mean HOLY FOKKER Yeah, leave it to the Japanese to spell the name wrong. Quote
jenius Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 Yeah, leave it to the Japanese to spell the name wrong. How long before a Japanese member takes offense to that comment? Quote
mister_e Posted January 13, 2007 Posted January 13, 2007 (edited) lol. Actually, I think either spelling is correct as both are legit (albeit different) names. My comment was just a subtle jab at Robotech for changing it to Fokker. I guess they thought us American children would have too much fun with a name like Focker. Edited January 13, 2007 by mister_e Quote
Skull-1 Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 (edited) How long before a Japanese member takes offense to that comment? Why would they be offended by that? I could no more spell something in Kanjii and I'm not offended if anyone cares to mention it. Dont' be so sensitive. Edited January 14, 2007 by Skull-1 Quote

Hikaru is playing with a Fokker biplane in Macross. The link is obvious. I am sure Sir Anthony would be not-so-pleasantly amused to see his name spelled with a "C" in the middle. jenius Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 (edited) I think we also actually see Focker in a Fokker at one point as well. I seem to remember him like flying away and dropping a hankerchief or something? I didn't say *I* was insulted by the mispelling thing, I simply stated that someone may be. They would be offended by the statement because it could be read to infer some form of inability, as if the Japanese could never figure out something as complex as anglo-germanic languages or surnames. Now, if you don't mind, I'll be off in the Japanese Engrish thread. Edited January 14, 2007 by jenius Quote
mister_e Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 I am sure Sir Anthony would be not-so-pleasantly amused to see his name spelled with a "C" in the middle. But, Focker is a real name, so I doubt he would've been offended Quote
Skull-1 Posted January 14, 2007 Posted January 14, 2007 But, Focker is a real name, so I doubt he would've been offended Yes, but the intent is quite obviously meant to be a reference to FOKKER and not a FOCKER. Quote

bigkid24 Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Someone should make one out of an Alternators Prime. Quote
BoBe-Patt Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 hey nick, where's the pictures of your old civic? you should post it up. At least nick had the skull and crossbones on. This needs more. If your gonna go that far might as well go all the way! Make a black carbon fiber hood and put a skull and crossbones on it! Quote
MechTech Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 I had an '83 Celica that I took the celica medalion off and redid it as a skull squadron logo. So what happens, somebody stole it!!! Is nothing sacred!? - MT Quote
Night Stalker Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 Nothing worng with the RDF logo. That just means he only has one foot forward and someone hasn't properly shown him the path down the right road to being a future MW'er. Quote
Skullsixx Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 Dude... I just slapped a skull n' crossbones sticker on the back of my '04 Tacoma and it looks waaayyyy better!!! Quote
JKeats Posted February 7, 2007 Posted February 7, 2007 I'm still looking for the dark blue late-model Celica that I saw twice in college. The owner had put a huge image of a strike or super -1S along with the flying kite symbol. It was pretty impressive and I stood in the parking lot and gawked at it for several minutes before noticing that he had labeled the -1S as a "veritech". That was kinda disappointing. Quote
