eriku Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 Godmarz is up on BBTS for 239.99 http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product...amp;mode=retail And they now have both versions of Reideen listed. http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/search....?search=raideen The funny thing is, when they originally listed Reideen they had it for 79.99, and now they bumped it up to 99.99. Luckily I preordered before it went up so I'm locked in at 79.99. One thing I'd like to know, will the cheaper version of Reideen be able to do Godbird mode? It'd be kinda crappy if only the deluxe mountain version had the parts necessary for it.
promethuem5 Posted January 5, 2008 Posted January 5, 2008 I'd find it incredibly unlikely that Bandai would release the cheaper Raideen without being able to transform... that'd be really stupid.
Chindenathus Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Any news on the scale of this thing? The black Serena that is... After a little calculator work apparently the Black Sarena is 1/60th scale like the B-Club Model kit of old.
ruskiiVFaussie Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 Wow... wow wow wow seriously 1/60???? Now i'm really happy. Hope it's very similar to our Yamato 1/60 line (pilot differences).. mind you we won't see a pilot figure for the Aesti. The snap kits from bandai were 1/48 scale.
Dante74 Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 HLJ changed the release date of the Black Serena from april/may? to future release. What's up with that?
ruskiiVFaussie Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 (edited) Hmmm, well that's ok, one's for my bro's birthday in July, and mine's in May, i bet that happens for the 21 as well... Any piccies of the Eva-02 Spec out yet? Edited January 8, 2008 by ruskiiVFaussie
IXTL Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 (edited) Hmmm, well that's ok, one's for my bro's birthday in July, and mine's in May, i bet that happens for the 21 as well... Any piccies of the Eva-02 Spec out yet? 1st post. Here you go. Might be better to wait and see how the Rebuild EVA-02 SPEC turns out before jumping on this one. Rebuild EVA-01 SPEC was much better than the TV version imho even though it had less accessories. Edited January 8, 2008 by IXTL
ruskiiVFaussie Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 (edited) Nice! Thanks man! wow first post too, welcome IXTL welcome. Awesome information and pics. Wonder if the armour rips off? I'm not to happy with the weapons available though. Remember there was that awesome Eva-01 200% sync whatsyoucalledit release, so maybe they will do something for the 02. Was there much difference in size compared to the first SOC line of Evas and to the SPEC and Rebuilds? I early bird pre-ordered this TV SPEC. I can change my mind later if i have to. I have the SOC Eva-01 and 2. This would be my forth SOC after Black Sarena. I was so impressed with my EVa-02 SOC i'm hooked. Also must admit Energer Z looks awesome. SPEC is a totally different animal from the regular SOC series. Firstly, SPEC has less die-cast (only the ankles, feet, most of the leg armor and pectoral portion of the chest armor), the armor is removable and they are, imo, the most articulated EVA figures around, even more so than Revoltech EVAs. They're about 7 inches tall so thay're larger than regular SOC EVAs and have more accurate details and colors. I think the weapons included about covers all the weapons used by EVA-02 in the TV series save for the pallet rifle so I think it's a pretty good selection. The reason I prefer the Rebuild SPECs over the TV version is that the armor and arms have been resculpted to be more refined and streamlined. Rebuild SPEC EVA-01 was an improvement in design over the TV SPEC EVA-01 (especially the new "sexy" prog knife design and deployment system) so I'm willing to wait for Rebuild SPEC EVA-02 and pass on this one. wolfx Posted January 9, 2008 Posted January 9, 2008 I can't wait for the Black Serena. And dayum i dun like Reideen but that accesory box mountain is impressive!
Chindenathus Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Have you seen these: Apparently the were earlier concept art for the Black Sarena. Dang! They really went pretty minimal on the design all things considered.

Shun Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 (edited) I'm interested in the Dragnor 1 with Cavalier? Anybody got it yet? How is it and how tall is this mecha? might be too late, but.... hope this helps i didn't get the Dragonar w/cavalier. i prefer and bought the Opening ver, looks much better than the TV ver but it doesn't come with cavalier. The OP ver is approx 14+ cm tall. wonder if they will make the D-2 and D-3 ... Edited January 16, 2008 by Shun
Mowe Posted January 17, 2008 Posted January 17, 2008 Guppy, I just found out that there is a special way to make the jet sit securely inside the Great Maz head. The official instruction is not very clear. Just slot each jet wing in between the grey part of the head. If you have problem, let me know, I'll post pic. Mowe and I just got the Fewture Mazinger and Great Mazinger.. all I have to say is: best toy in my collection. And worth the $.

Rats fits in with nothing scale-wise. Hmm... pick it up or wait and see if this shows up in Bandai's R3 line at a bigger scale...
Sebastian Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 I got my fewture great mazinger as well.... it is absolutely gorgeous... as I said, pure toy porn, right mowe? Good to know there is a way to fit the jet in the Robotooooo head. Sadly I could handle the toy only for a few minutes last week, I had to catch a flight. I'll be back next week and will be able to play with it. Mowe and Guppy if you can post a pic of the pielder in Mazinger head, please do it. Also is your scramble jet loose??? mine is but maybe is me doing something wrong...
Mowe Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 (edited) Hell yeah, Seb. The paint job and the weight are really amazing. It is really a show piece. On the flip side, I still think Fewture could have done better with their engineering with joint designs. I also prefer a sturdy forearm than a detachable magnet forearm (and yes, my Mazinger forearm magnets came off as well, they seems to have fixed this problem with the Great Maz, though). Seb, when the scramble jet is properly fixed, it is slight floppy to allow front-back movement (and I think that is a good thing, so it is not set hard against the metal paint), but it is definitely secure and your jet should not be falling off. The trick is push the jet in (push horizontally softly) then press down firmly until you hear a slight click noise. Also, see the last pic and you'll understand what I meant about the Pielder in the Great Mazinger head. See how the folded red wing is fitted in bewteen the grey parts. Sebastian Posted January 18, 2008 Posted January 18, 2008 Thanks Mowe!!! I will try all your tips next tuesday on my RObotooooooo. I am tempted to buy the whole line... is gonna cost a lot... but this toys worth the effort... right?
ruskiiVFaussie Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 So are the SPEC (TV) Eva-01 and soon Eva-02 same scale as the Rebuild Eva SPEC line?
IXTL Posted January 21, 2008 Posted January 21, 2008 (edited) So are the SPEC (TV) Eva-01 and soon Eva-02 same scale as the Rebuild Eva SPEC line? The 魂SPEC Evangelions, TV editions (XS-01, XS-08, Yahoo! Japan Exclusive EVA-01) and New Movie Editions (XS-03, XS-04), are of the same scale. Approximately 19cm tall. Edited January 21, 2008 by IXTL

eriku Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 As much as I'm looking forward to Reideen and Godmars, I have to say my excitement for Daimos is kind of overshadowing those two right now. It's going to be a loooong year waiting for this one.

Shun Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 (edited) i like God Mars and Black Selena. but due to budget constraints (damn lots of mospeada stuff coming up and other collectibles >.< ), i think i will have to pass. God Mars will probably be much lower-priced when it's re-issued. Edited January 24, 2008 by Shun
Vegas Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 (edited) when is daimos coming out? kinda excited for it http://forums.hobbyhype.com/showthread.php?t=7349 Edited January 25, 2008 by Vegas Valkyrie
ruskiiVFaussie Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 WHy the pics made you want to cancel Dante? The only silly thing is them posing the Aesti with the Omega Boots.
EXO Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Oh man... Daimos? I still need Grendizer then Daimos and that'll complete my childhood heroes collection.
