Sdf-1 Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 Sorry guys if this has been posted (I would be surprised if not, but I didn't find anything...), I haven't been much around here lately but I just saw this: Sdf-1 model I wonder what's going on there actually...? Quote
isamu_dyson Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 didn't heard about it. it's looking small but with a lot of details Quote
Sdf-1 Posted October 20, 2006 Author Posted October 20, 2006 Dude it's half a meter, so not that small... Exactly twice as big as the Wave toy. Quote
isamu_dyson Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 (edited) 50 cm ?. ... next to the mini valk it didn't looks that size ... interesting Edited October 20, 2006 by isamu_dyson Quote
MechTech Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 I don't say this to people often, but hey, "nice Daedalus." It looks like this person bridged the gap between me and and the art guys. They drew it in 3-D, got a 3-D engraver to machine out the parts from a block, and made resin copies. I guess the next question is, will he sell it as a kit? By the way, I hate those Babelfish type transalation engines. They make about as much sense as me speaking French or Finnish! If I had the money to get a 3-D engraver, that is what I would do with it! - MT Quote
isamu_dyson Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 (edited) or you have to find someone who can access to an engraver i've find someone who is using a large scale engraver and a small one ... at work (he's working in a car prototyping factory) i'm not sure we can use it for hobby ... anyway this SDF-1 is looking great, i hope it'll be put on market Edited October 20, 2006 by isamu_dyson Quote

Ghadrack Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 I am dying to see what he comes up with. After having seen several of his other projects, I have no doubt it will be spectacular. Quote
