UN Spacy Posted April 1, 2007 Posted April 1, 2007 In up standing mode with the cannon pointing upwards, do people find their cannons don't quite locked in perfect alignment? That is, one cannon is slightly forward than the other. Not a big deal, but I find it a little annoying. One of the cannons took some coaxing to get into place, after a bit of fidling they're both in perfect alignment. I I have a much harder time getting them to stay put in cruiser mode. Quote
Macross73 Posted April 8, 2007 Posted April 8, 2007 I wonder how well this has sold? I'm hoping that it was recieved well enough so that a larger scale is made down the road. Or that Wave atleast sees that there are folks that want a larger one. Quote

DyNo Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 did you get it shipped for $75; If so where from? Ebay, luck was on my side that day Quote
mechatek Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Great price DyNo! If that was the regular price for it, I would've gotten one when it was released. I hope I have your same luck while I'm on ebay. Quote
Auto Pilot Off Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 i remember seeing a pic of this SDF in some hobby magazine but its greyish color..... anybody got the scans? thanks.. Quote
jenius Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 Well I said I'd do a review of this toy once it was probably sold out everywhere and I put the review up today. Not sure if this thing is sold out everywhere but I suspect it's close. If you're familiar with the thread you won't really find any new info in the review, seems like most the people who bought one pretty much have the exact same thing to say about it - Quote

kensei Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 Has anyone ever tried to get it back into the cruiser mode and put it on the stand? The legs are just so heavy they disconnect the main guns from each other and collapse. Quote

Lonewolf Posted July 11, 2007 Posted July 11, 2007 Nice review jenius. True we don't really learn new stuff about this "completed model", but it was nicely criticized. Quote

The legs are just so heavy they disconnect the main guns from each other and collapse. I has the same problem... so I use this to "fix" temporarily the Main gun when i get it back into the cruiser : With this things I can Get it into Attack mode / cruiser mode when I want.... The legs never disconnect the main gun with this... Enjoy.. ^^ I use this "Patafix" to fix the leg of my VF-0S to the Backpack in fighter mode... It's works as well.... kensei Posted July 13, 2007 Posted July 13, 2007 Ah cheers. Good to know that it is not only me that has trouble with this. Quote

Of course shipping is free since I am in Shanghai. Shipping within China is like $2. Quote
jonwayne Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 A repaint coming up: http://www.noda-ya.com/html/syohin/figure/02003339.htm Quote
sqidd Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 A repaint coming up: http://www.noda-ya.com/html/syohin/figure/02003339.htm IMHO they should have gone with the full blown TV colors. I have the "purple" one already, I don't need another one that isn't the right color Quote
Alpha OTS Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 IMHO they should have gone with the full blown TV colors. I have the "purple" one already, I don't need another one that isn't the right color I prefer this paint scheme and am glad I waited, but yeah, I would have much preferred full blown TV colors too. Fly4victory Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 First one was too shiney and expensive. This one kind of dull. Quote
Mr March Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Wow! This looks way better than the original one! Fantastic! Quote
crasis Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Ah crap. Can I honestly justify buying another one of these just for a redeco? Hrm.. ...well, I guess it would be nice to have a spare to display in cruiser mode... ...damn, I'm weak. Quote
konimon Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 So this is the movie color version of the movie version of SDF-1??? Wave SDF-1 has been growing on me, thanks to this thread. I might succumb this time, unless there is a plan for the TV version. Quote
miriya Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I like this color better. I did not get the first release even though I liked it but I may get this one. It is too expensive though. I hope they drop the price a bit. Quote
jenius Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I find the color change to be pretty subtle myself. I think I'm going to give my current SDF-1 away as a gift and replace it with the new one. Quote
miriya Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 (edited) Sweet! Is it just me or does this look like it has more detail than the previous release? Edited September 29, 2007 by miriya Quote
Valkyrie addict Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Wow, I might just get this one!! glad I waited! Quote
UN Spacy Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Man. I think I'm gonna my version up for sale. THIS is the version they should have released. Quote
Mr March Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 So this is the movie color version of the movie version of SDF-1??? It looks more like the Macross Plus version. Quote
jenius Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 (edited) Not more detailed... it's an optical illusion because you can see more of the detail due to the lighter color. It looks like they may have added some "splotchiness" to the paint job though to simulate different panels... I guess that could be considered more detail. Looks good, can't wait to see it in person. Edited September 29, 2007 by jenius Quote
warpaint22 Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I'm still up in the air over getting the new paint scheme, I have the first edition and I like it looks good on display with the colours it's done in. I wait and see after a couple of members get one and see what they think, however I would have prefered a TV SDF-1. Quote
ruskiiVFaussie Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 (edited) Sold! Glad i didn't snap up the 1st version. I need an SDF-1 in my collection. I do want a TV version though... And an equivalent sized cucumber Zentran flapship for the dadelus punching of. Edited September 29, 2007 by ruskiiVFaussie Quote
