wwwmwww Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 (edited) Am I the only one to look at this: And think gerwalk mode. Any of you photoshop guys want to take a shot at showing us the other two modes? I'd love to see what you could come up with. Carl Edited October 13, 2006 by wwwmwww Quote
Roy's Blues Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 I found a pictue of a Brownie/cannonfodder for you! Quote
Retracting Head Ter Ter Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Thats about as gerwalk as a Glaug. I am not sure if the Glaug is the first 'chicken walker' mech. Can anyone point out some earlier chicken walker designs? Quote

Knight26 Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Techincally it is not a gerwalk because it does not have wings. Ground Effect Reinforced Wing w/ Articulated Locomotive Kneejoint Quote
mister_e Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Techincally it is not a gerwalk because it does not have wings. Ground Effect Reinforced Wing w/ Articulated Locomotive Kneejoint lol. gerwalk is an acronym? i seriously had no idea. Quote
Knight26 Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Valkyrie is just the name. Battroid IIRC is short for BATTle andROID Quote
wwwmwww Posted October 13, 2006 Author Posted October 13, 2006 Thats about as gerwalk as a Glaug. Yes, and there is a variable Glaug out there. I'm just curious what a variable ED209 would look like. Carl Quote
wwwmwww Posted October 13, 2006 Author Posted October 13, 2006 Techincally it is not a gerwalk because it does not have wings. Ground Effect Reinforced Wing w/ Articulated Locomotive Kneejoint Maybe the wings fold away and are stowed in the interior while in gerwalk mode. This thread isn't meant to be too serious so feel free to take a little creative freedom. Carl Quote
CoryHolmes Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 Perhaps it's a hovering unit and needs no wings, like the VHTs. Quote
KingNor Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 Yes, and there is a variable Glaug out there. I'm just curious what a variable ED209 would look like. Carl please no more.. first the monster now this. I respected macross BECAUSE not every mech in the show transformed for no reason. I sincerely hope this is not cannon or I might just swear off macross for ever. as for ed, thats a sexy beast. Quote
myk Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 lol. gerwalk is an acronym? i seriously had no idea. I think they even stated that in the "Robotech" Art 1 book; or was it the Robotech role-playing book... Quote
the white drew carey Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Actually, there are two transforming Glaugs: The Neo-Glaug from the Macross Plus- Game Edition, which has a fighter and GERWALK mode. The Variable Glaug from Macross M3, which has all 3 modes. And, yes, KingNor- They are both canon. Sorry to burst your bubble... Quote
the white drew carey Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Oh, and Knight26, while you are correct in pointing out the acronym- I'm thinking GERWALK has become a catch-all term for the intermediate mode between fighter and Battroid, as the Neo Glaug and the Variable Glaug do not sport wings in GERWALK mode, yet Kawamori still calls it that. Quote
Knight26 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 The neo-glaug and Konig having two modes makes sense, it allows them to move about faster, but the battroid modes were just bad ideas. Quote
promethuem5 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Someone find me a resin kit of that NeoGlaug... Quote
wwwmwww Posted October 16, 2006 Author Posted October 16, 2006 Someone find me a resin kit of that NeoGlaug... That's something I'd be very interested in too. Its the sort of subject that I could see Studio HalfEye doing several years ago but he hasn't put out any Macross subjects in a while. Carl Quote
