The Shade Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Oh man!!! Those were funny. I'm seeing these on Monday morning just before I start work. They're exactly what I need. Quote
ruskiiVFaussie Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Bloody awesome movie. The carnage rocks, the soundtrack was filth. Quote
Metal_Massacre_79 Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 "This is delicious!" That part has had me laughing for over a week now. The kid with the I Love You sign was good, and the "brush your teeth" at the end was great. Quote
reddsun1 Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 (edited) I don't know why, but that last bit tickled me too.... "BRUSH YOUR TEETH!!!" Edited April 13, 2007 by reddsun1 Quote

DatterBoy Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 All the chicks I know who saw it liked it. There was one who was a bit upset by it. Sh eis a Persian and said that Xerxes historically was one of her favorite rulers and that the movie made him look bad. Quote
KingNor Posted April 17, 2007 Posted April 17, 2007 xerxes was an interesting guy, actually. but what are you gonna do with a guy who think's hes a god and is trying to take over the world. mr smithers: "that's when he crossed over from regular villany and into cartoonish super villany." Quote

Sh eis a Persian and said that Xerxes historically was one of her favorite rulers and that the movie made him look bad. Oh yeah, I bet the Hollywood execs are tickled pink by the broad spectrum of moviegoers that F. Miller & co. managed to appeal to. When I went to see it, I too noticed there were easily as many women in the audience as men. Plenty of blood and hacking, bravado and male bonding for all the guys; and the borderline Chippendales-review-in-tunics for the gals--it was a win/win for all. I've promised my wife I'm going to try to get ripped like the 300 Spartans. Of course, I won't have the benefit of CGI enhancement like those guys [nor the inspirational leadership of greats like AgentOne ], so it might take me quite a few more trips to the gym.... Quote

I think thy're all actually ripped. No CGI enhancements to their physical bodies. JSYK. Quote
promethuem5 Posted April 18, 2007 Posted April 18, 2007 Yeah, I was assuming that they were just A1 ripped as well, not CGi enhanced... Quote

KingNor Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 those guys are actually in that kind of shape. you can't cg inhance muscles on a more or less naked man with out it looking fake. granted they had some filters on the camera and such, but like they said in many of the preproduction interviews, they're not using any ground breaking techniques in the movie. It's mostly conventional green screen live action filmmaking. Quote
Warmaker Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 I can't believe no one's mentioned last week's episode of South Park. 'Scissors, yeah!' I saw that episode. All I thought was, "Oh my..." But 300 left itself open to that type of humor Quote
ruskiiVFaussie Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 Nipples sure were perky in those days... THE FEMALE'S NIPPLES! Not the guys. lol lol lol Seriously, that sacrificial chick... bloody cold up that mountain!~!! Quote
Graham Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 Although the actors were all obviously in pretty good shape, when I watched the movie I thought the six packs looked like they were painted on. Graham Quote

Phyrox Posted April 26, 2007 Posted April 26, 2007 300 vs WoW Well, I just saw the movie. It was alright. Nothing special, not too bad either. The speeches and exposition nearly killed it though. Normally I prefer more dialogue in all my movies, but this was an exception. The choreography was nice, the cinematography was interesting, but the writing was terrible. At least I thought so. Could have been a better movie. Quote

I could care less about making of and commentary but i do want the deleated scenes. I'm buying the DVD as soon as I get off from work. I might let you know tomorrow. Still, I'd also like it to have those deleted scenes. Quote
GutsAndCasca Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 My wife bought me the blu-ray edition today! I can't wait to watch it later tonight. (it's my first blu-ray movie) Quote
