Extra Large Mumma Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Ah, such long suspense is the YF-19... Looking forward to your delicious review, Graham. Hopefully, mine comes shortly after your review.
eugimon Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Ah, such long suspense is the YF-19... Looking forward to your delicious review, Graham. Hopefully, mine comes shortly after your review. you received a sample as well?
jenius Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 you received a sample as well? I think his point is that Graham's review will come up on the 7th and he hopes he'll get his preordered YF-19 shortly thereafter and get a review up also.
ruskiiVFaussie Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Nuh, still waiting! And no Mac II killer arm cannon, thats a tad lazy!
eugimon Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 I think his point is that Graham's review will come up on the 7th and he hopes he'll get his preordered YF-19 shortly thereafter and get a review up also. bah, who needs logic and rational thinking at a time like this?
Scream Man Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Those of us who dont want to go insane waiting for the 19? Well, more insane anyway. my wife just looks at me while i try to explain the nearly $300 per valk...
ruskiiVFaussie Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 add to that shipping to australia, averaging 30 - 50 USD EMS.... The amount of shipping i have paid out i could be like. 5 valks richer by now! Now that is insane! What a rip!
promethuem5 Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 So who here's gonna post some lineart of the arm weapons system so us modelers can see how feasible a resin one is? I'd really like one.... probably more than FP or the FB....

Valk009 Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Looks like the Yammie YF-19 gets a head start release in Hong Kong before Japan does! Pulled these pics off the local Yahoo auction site. Will head to the shops today and see
kensei Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 (edited) Hey look at that! Copied the VF-0A box somewhat. Not much in the way of accessories. There are two pieces for different modes for the Yamato stands, the gunpod, pilot, and two other pieces I don't know about. Looks the same colour as the YF-19 though. mister_e Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Looks like the Yammie YF-19 gets a head start release in Hong Kong before Japan does! Pulled these pics off the local Yahoo auction site. Will head to the shops today and see Wow! That box is...unattractive. But the toy inside looks nice. I guess it's true what they say: "it's what's on the inside that matters."
Valk009 Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Looking more closely at the pic you will see taht there is no Big West sticker, so I assume this was most likely sneaked out from the factory!
kensei Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Oh well, the cat is out of the bag, Graham, let loose your review.
myk Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Why does it say Battroid on the front of the box when the vehicle is packed in fighter mode?
eugimon Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Why does it say Battroid on the front of the box when the vehicle is packed in fighter mode? it has a different mode for each color stripe on the box, says fighter in the middle stripe.
UN Spacy Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Graham. Will this review be one of your longest ever?
kensei Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 (edited) With the amount of time he had it in his hand, probably. You know, if they have to use a VF-0 sized box and go from corner to corner, I can just imagine how big this mofo would be. Edited November 28, 2006 by kensei
Golden Arms Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Does anyone know what the two parts below the gunpod are?
jenius Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Looking more closely at the pic you will see taht there is no Big West sticker, so I assume this was most likely sneaked out from the factory! It's a bootleg!!
myk Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 it has a different mode for each color stripe on the box, says fighter in the middle stripe. Heh. I couldn't make the "fighter" out until jacked up my brightness. Jolly good, then...
Valk009 Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 "Does anyone know what the two parts below the gunpod are?" I asked Graham and apparently they are some kind of replacement pieces. these are made out of high impact ABS plastic!
UN Spacy Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Replacement pieces? Should we expect something to break?
RedLion Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Those pieces look like the optional display stand attachments?! Perhaps for fighter and Batroid?
Nani?! Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 wow.... that is one butt crack nasty box. thanks for the pics!
dafunguy Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 That box will look good under my Christmas tree....even though it looks like a cake box. The inside stuff looks yummy though, mmmmm, Yumato.
Scream Man Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 yeah i think the pieces under the gunpod are parts of the display stand.
Dante74 Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 I don't think so. The Display stand pieces are on the right.
Murphy Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 "Does anyone know what the two parts below the gunpod are?" I asked Graham and apparently they are some kind of replacement pieces. these are made out of high impact ABS plastic! if the yf-19 needed these replacement pieces, why didnt they just use those peices insted of the ones that will break anyways im still buying this baby
wolfx Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Does anyone know what the two parts below the gunpod are? Looks like maybe replacement fins above the canopy?
Graham Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Graham. Will this review be one of your longest ever? Probably, it's shaping up to be pretty long. Graham
Graham Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 The two pieces are spare cannards made of ABS plastic. The cannards on the toy are made of POM plastic. POM is actually more durable than ABS, but cannot be painted easily. Yamato decided to include two spare cannards made of ABS, for customisers who want to paint the toy in a custom paint scheme, as ABS can be painted much more easily. The different cannard material has nothing to do with durability. I've had a preproduction sample for nearly 2 months and production samples for about 2 weeks and have transformed them many times. The POM cannards are very durable. Graham
Graham Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Looking more closely at the pic you will see taht there is no Big West sticker, so I assume this was most likely sneaked out from the factory! Probably not sneaked out, more likely an early gift sample given to a favoured friend of buyer by Yamato. Whoever has it shouldn't be posting pics tho! Graham
