kam63 Posted October 7, 2003 Posted October 7, 2003 Hello Guys and Gurlies I've been working on this kit for sometime now it's not completly done still need too add some more panel lines here&there do some touch ups add decals and clear coat. I'll be adding pics of the Finshed 19a when its completly done. this is a real nice kit I almost reget building it because of how rare these tanmen kits are, and how difficult there are to paint. ( if anybody wants to unload theres PM me ) let me know what you guys think: Quote

EXO Posted October 8, 2003 Posted October 8, 2003 Holy crap... if that isn't nice... Your painting is very worthy of Tanmen's craftmanship. don't forget to keep us updated Quote
Sam Posted October 8, 2003 Posted October 8, 2003 Awwwww how cutesy I thought i would never buy SD of anything, but i think its a sign of addiction when u cave into doing just that for the toys that one loves ! Would be nice to have an SD YF19 I thinks... nice work, look forward to seeing the final version Quote

Macross_Fanboy Posted April 28, 2004 Posted April 28, 2004 That's cute! I have a thing for those SDs! Especially the transforming ones! And that's not a VF-19A, it's YF-19 from the looks of it. Quote
wwwmwww Posted April 30, 2004 Posted April 30, 2004 does Tanmen have a website? Yes... its: http://www.246.ne.jp/~tanmen/ did Tanmen make a SD VF-4? Its on this list: http://www.geocities.co.jp/Playtown-Spade/...e/jp/eitem.html But I can't recall at the moment if its a kit he's ever finished or not. Before you go much farther I'd suggest you read this: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=477&st=0 I've bought from Tanmen before and I've always received what I ordered but he was rather slow and he just seems to be getting slower. Just my 2 cents... Carl Quote
dyowelb Posted April 30, 2004 Posted April 30, 2004 you can try hobbyfan.com...i bought my sd ostrich, yf-19 and vf-1s from them... Quote
astromanED Posted April 30, 2004 Posted April 30, 2004 Looks great. here's a link to the one I built. http://starshipmodeler.org/gallery6/eb_sdyf19.htm I had a wicked tough time with the canopy. Also,if I may, drill and pin the antena behind the cockpit. I snapped that more that a few times. I can't wait to see it finished. Quote

I was thinking on dipping it into some warm water to reshape it I cut it into two pieces and slowly sanded bit by bit down. The canopy didnt come out top notch because of some super glue fumbling. On other kits where I've made bad cuts on the connecting edge I just built up with elmers glue. I'm curiouse on how your gonna tackle it. I'm always looking for a better way. Quote
