renegadeleader1 Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 I was in tokyo kid in boston yesterday picking up gashapon to kit bash with some gundam kits to make an attempt at custom Gundam "G" girls(basically repainting the figures and attaching HG and MG grade parts) when I saw on the cover of one of the hobby books a character that I thought would make a great Rick Dom. The problem is the book was $35.00 dollars and I didn't want to spend the money in case the mag didn't show who it was or the name was in japanese. The character was a woman with blond hair wearing a black military beret, black one piece swim suit outfit with holes(typical cleavage and navel areas) in it and was carrying a silver baton. At first I thought it was Cammie from street fighter except she didn't have and pony tails or the scars(camo???) on her face. She looked more mature than Cammie did too. Right now I don't have any pics but I hope to have some soon when I go back this weekend but until then I was hoping someone here might know or has the book I saw and can Identify her. Any hope would be appriciated. PS. let me know if you guys want a custom figure made like the character and the MS you want and I'll give it a shot and post my results here, also I'm toying with the idea of making valkyrie girls too, but the plastic for the mac kits require a lot more work than the gundam kits. Tober Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Your description reminds me of this: http://toychest.diamondcomics.com/toys/07_...intron_dept.htm Although she doesn't have the holes quite where you mentioned or long yellow blonde hair. Quote
wolfx Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Is the hobby mag a recent publication? If it is i think i know who you're talking about. Main site: http://www.ikaros.co.jp/moeseries/ http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/ASIN/4...link%5Fcode=xm2 The book is about mecha musume, or mecha girls. Generally anime-girls depicted "dressed-up" as WWII machines mostly. A topic not that well received here: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...hl=mecha+musume And this one, Moe-arms, features anime girls with real-life weapons. http://www.tp-ep.co.jp/ep-hp/special.html#005 Quote
renegadeleader1 Posted June 28, 2006 Author Posted June 28, 2006 None of those are it. As for how old the magazine is I have no clue it could very well be 3-4 years old. some of the stuff at tokyo kid I know has sat there for a long time. Quote
wolfx Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 A picture , name of magazine or soemthing would help. The pic on the mag i showed almost matched your description. Iron baton, military berret, etc. THere was another one complete with big boobs , machine guns and glasses and bikini swimsuit but i don't know where to find the pic on that one cause its a doujin figure. renegadeleader1 Posted June 28, 2006 Author Posted June 28, 2006 I think the name of the mag was hobbie modler or hobbie figure builder. Quote
