Toonz Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 i like the shiny look cos it makes a villain look more mean Quote
Macross73 Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 (edited) that looks great. fresh from the production line. That shine ? is gloss coat ? what did you use to seal it? edit : sp Edited May 31, 2006 by Macross73 Quote
Veritas Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Those are computer generated? 404088[/snapback] I'm assuming they are by the shadows that both of them cast, or lack there of. I could be wrong though. Quote
Rodavan Posted May 31, 2006 Author Posted May 31, 2006 (edited) Thansk for comments guys . Yup this is a CGI render , they are suppose to look like "real" toys ........ Edited May 31, 2006 by Rodavan Quote
Mechamaniac Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Thanks, now I want a green Q-Rau toy even more... Incidentally, moving to Fan Works. Quote
Mowe Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Wow!!!! 2 questions: 1. Do you work for Yamato? 2. Do you render Miria without the Q-Rau? Quote
ulyssesdraco Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 I love you. In the most heterosexual manner possible. Quote
chrono Posted May 31, 2006 Posted May 31, 2006 Could you repost the image with less artifacts, their killing me. lol! Concerning the Toy look. Right now they have a painted high gloss feeling to them and the shadows need more kill to them. I would, if your planning on keeping the painted look, add a small amount of noise to your reflectance layer to help promote an 'orange peal'-ish and unevenly painted surface. I'd also tweak the change the specular settings so they are slightly larger. Does the Cinema renderer have photon bounce?? An easy study case would be to take a similar physical model into a windowless room and set-up a spotlight on it and then take about an 30 minutes and study how the model looks under that condition. You can do the similar thing for natural light using a single window and no lights. Quote
Rodavan Posted June 1, 2006 Author Posted June 1, 2006 Thanks for the compliment guys chrono - Not sure if Cinema has photon bounce , but will find out , I like the idea with the closed room and light , I will try it this weekend ...... Mowe - No I don't work for Yamato , I wish ... .I will post a very old pic the guys here know loater tonight my time ...... Quote
Twoducks Posted June 2, 2006 Posted June 2, 2006 Great render! For a moment I thought the red Q-Rau was the real Yamato one. Quote
Rodavan Posted June 4, 2006 Author Posted June 4, 2006 Twoducks - thanks chrono - gave Maxwell a try , what do you think ..... Quote
chrono Posted June 5, 2006 Posted June 5, 2006 Way over lite and to much noise(of course), but your getting there. I still feel that the surface it too perfect looking. How long did you let it render, because Maxwell generally needs about 12-48 hours to get really awsome renders. Quote
