Graham Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Guys, The new July 2006 issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine and Hobby Japan magazine shows CAD lineart drawings of the upcoming Yamato 1/60 VF-0A head. From the information given, it looks like we can expect to see the VF-0A released in August. Not sure if the articles mention whether the toy will be the Cannon Fodder (brownish-grey) version or Shin's (blue & white) version, but I'm betting on the Cannon Fodder coming first. Enjoy. chowyunskinny Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 should there be a nudge nudge on that Cannon Fodder bet Graham? Quote
Graham Posted May 25, 2006 Author Posted May 25, 2006 Actually, I really don't know which it will be, but I can find out. Graham Quote
Project Phoenix Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 OMG! OMG! The CF is coming! The CF is coming! Quote
Guppy Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 yay! Now I don't have to worry about which mode to leave the 0S in as they all look great. Quote
UN Spacy Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Graham has made my day. This news + GoodFellas is on TV = WIN WIN Quote
Graham Posted May 25, 2006 Author Posted May 25, 2006 Actually, I'm really looking forward to a VF-0A CF. I love the head design and the color scheme. One thing I've been trying to find out from Yamato, is whether a VF-0A CF will have Skulls on the tail fins, or the bunny head emblems like on Tenjin's Hasegawa VF-0A CF model box art and decal sheet. kensei Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Ah godo news. I expect to see little things like loose joints and gunpod to be ironed out in this release too. Quote
jenius Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Man... this is going to cost me a lot of consternation somewhere down the line.... "BUY IT, you know you want to." "DON'T BUY IT, it's not like you have a MacZero or Shin display to fit it into." Quote
UN Spacy Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 True. But how many VF-1A variants can we expect from Yamato? Shin. CF. Low Viz 1? Low Viz 2? Stealth? Quote
Graham Posted May 25, 2006 Author Posted May 25, 2006 But how many VF-1A variants can we expect from Yamato? 402155[/snapback] Don't you mean VF-0A variants? Graham Quote
AC Starscream Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Well I think this is going to be pretty cool. And I wouldnt mind either the CF or the blue one. I will definetly be up to getting the variants on the VF-0 because of how much I like it. As for the skulls or Bunny....Maybe we will get both on a sheet and we can decide for ourselves? Quote
1/1 LowViz Lurker Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 The head looks cool in the scan. Looking forward to this. I'll probably be getting at least 1 of CF at minimum. Hopefully the magnets won't be put on the wrong way this time. Quote
Phren Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 I think it's sad that we'd see 100 repaints/ new heads before they'll ever make the 0D Quote
1/1 LowViz Lurker Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 (edited) Well if some of them turn out to be true limited edition non-canon VF0 variants it might be a good incentive to get them for a diehard collector. I don't know about you but I still think the 1/48 VF1A LV ver1 kicks ass because of the dull appearance of it and how the stickers themselves can barely even be seen. What they need is a LV like that for CF or 0S complete with weathering dirt. I wonder if they will try to make a ultra rare "only 3 in the world" credit card VF0? Maybe they should have a competition where you design your own squad and have the winning designs appear on a LE sticker sheet? Edited May 25, 2006 by 1/1 LowViz Lurker Quote
myk Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 True. But how many VF-0A variants can we expect from Yamato? Shin. CF. Low Viz 1? Low Viz 2? Stealth? Oh, we've only begun to see the beginning of this variant parade. Quote

mechaninac Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Bastids!... there goes another $150+. When will it end? Please say never... Quote
ghostryder Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Grrr.... I'm trying to curb my spending by rediscovering my 1/48 Hikaru Strike 1S, and by telling myself, "Shin is a putz, Shin is a putz, Shin is a..." Quote
RT junkie Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Okay, 2x VF-0A = $300.... 3 months = $100/month = $25/week. Perfect! Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 Thanks for the pics Graham!!! Looking foward to get this VF-0A (white/blue or brownish grey). If they make those two variants I'll get both, so bring 'em Yamato Quote
eugimon Posted May 25, 2006 Posted May 25, 2006 evil yamato, why can't they just give us every head variant with the VF-0s? They're ripping us off! heh... just wanted to get that out of the way... I'm glad yamato is moving up the cycle between product releases myself... my addiction is needing more frequent fixes. Quote
