gian7675 Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Just wondering, why are Yamato's re-issue of their products more expensive than the original price tags? Re-issies are supposed to bring the price down but it's not the case with Yamato's re-issues. Other toy collectible re-issues has their price tags in the original price range like the SOC Grendizer Giftset, BPX-01 Space Battleship Yamato and the to be re-issued MPC-01 Yamato's re-issues are different. They're getting more expensive! Why is this so? Quote
nightmareB4macross Posted May 12, 2006 Posted May 12, 2006 Just wondering, why are Yamato\'s re-issue of their products more expensive than the original price tags? ***A large number of reasons. Re-issies are supposed to bring the price down but it\'s not the case with Yamato\'s re-issues. ***Not always true. Mostly when supply meets demand. Other toy collectible re-issues has their price tags in the original price range like the SOC Grendizer Giftset, BPX-01 Space Battleship Yamato and the to be re-issued MPC-01 ***Supply and Demand, or Over saturation of the market. Yamato\'s re-issues are different. They\'re getting more expensive! Why is this so? ***As stated before, it could be for any number of reasons. These could be just a few to look at: 1. Vendors, price hiking the items to consumers. 2. Currency Exchange, dollar vs yen is not what it used to be. 3. Gas Prices. Having a trickle effect on shipping costs. 4. God ol\' fashion price gouging. 5. Scalpers 398930[/snapback] Quote
Uxi Posted May 15, 2006 Posted May 15, 2006 Yen to Dollar is your most likely culprit. Then... when has anything not increased in price over a certain amount of time? Quote
