I sent an e-mail to the folks at New People (SF Japantown).

Hopefully they plan on showing the movie there.

kind of a criptic review...he doesn't seem to tell what he thought of the film.

Are there any images of the new Black tiger and Cosmo Zero? I'd love to see them.

You can see the Cosmo Tiger and I believe the Cosmo Zero also another earth ship courtesy of Tim Eldred on the Yamato mailing list

Also here is a look at some of the props which include a look at the Gamelon Fighters

NNOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Why? Why did they have to f**k with the original designs? They look all clunky and boxy. Meh...

They are boxy, but Yuki is lovely, and I ask you, does anything else really matter after that?

Because they probably couldn't get Nishizaki to agree not to mess with production unless Matsumoto also wasn't involved.

Agreed. The Yamato looks perfect. Yuki is :) .

The Yukikaze, Cosmo Zero, and Cosmo Tiger look good as well.

But WHY no sight or sound of Dessler?!? They keeping him under wraps.

IQ9/Analyzer looks amazing, too. And kicks some ass...

How the hell did you get to see IQ9? Did I miss some pics??

Agreed. They look like something from Hollywood. :(

Oh well, here's hoping the execution of the movie is better than the mess that was Yamato Rebirth.

Go down to the bottom center to the "CG photography" box and click on "check" to see a bunch of stills--including some of IQ9

Thanks for that. IQ9 looked great. If anything, its a wonder that they included the character in the film, since that is normally the sort of thing that smartarse producers would cut out.

Happy Thanksgiving fellow SBY fans!

Today is also the release date of Bandai's Soul of Chogokin GX-57 Yamato.

We're only a few more days away from the premiere of the live action movie. B))

Hey man, thanks for the heads up, that's a good $100 off at least. Do they deal with Western round-eyes in the States?

Yes they do, they've been getting most of my business ever since they started selling internationally.

Great customer service and the lowest prices in town.

"Yamamoto"?? I cry.

We're just lucky they didn't say "Yay-May-to."

As awesome as that is though, any reason given as to why they played it?

My payment invoice for GX-57 arrived.

20,230 yen (15,950/4280 EMS shipping).

With the exchange rate it endeded up at $250. ;)

That "other Earth ship" looks a lot like Kodai brother's missile destroyer Yukikaze from the battle at Pluto shown in episode 1 of the original series.

WOW... I love the new designs. The Gamilon ship looks as alien as it should be... while the fighters now look more like space fighters and less than jets like the 70s versions... Don't get me wrong. I love the originals, but also think the new ones are awesome...

Btw... does the English menu in the official site means the movie will have an International release? Since I've heard is the most expensive Japanese film ever produced It could be a possibility...
