I can't remember where I find these images I save to my hard drive. I found this image after going through some of my saved pics. Does anyone know if this is an official promotional advertisement or is this just a fanmade image made using photoshop?

If it is official I wonder if it's going to be a re release of the original or something new?

You know robopimp, I really do have a hard time telling if that flyer ad is real or photoshoped but I think that this DYRL Movie maybe a remake of the 1984 original or it maybe rereleased on big screen digitally remastered for everybody who didn't see it in the first place. That's what they did with Gundam F91 where they showed it in U.S theatres for the first time in N.Y.

Probably fan-made, but who knows? If this is true, however, I would've heard the news on either IMDb or Ain't It Cool News.

What does everyone else in the forum have to say?

I think it's fanart, personally. Note that it says Super Dimensinal fortress MACROSS.

Those typos would never have made it to a real teaser poster - not is this era, anyway. It's pretty though, but I would have made it say 2009.

Now that Kelsain pointed out the typo in the word dimensinal, I have reasonable doubt to believe that the ad is fake but whoever did it did an excellent job with the other stuff

Mannn. I'd really like to see a well translated English version of DYRL. Something I've always wanted to see.

Although I do like a bunch of the Gundam mecha and have bought a few related merchandise. I must admit I'm totally clueless & unfamiliar with gundam in general. Since they did release a Gundam F91 in the US I hope they do the same with DYRL

[Crosses fingers] :)

Thanx for that quick reply du!

If that's a real poster, Universal must be hurting for graphic designers. Just a rule of thumb, if something has really obviously Photoshopped lense flares in it, it's a fan job.

Alas, this is the closest we've ever come to seeing a live-action ver. of Macross: http://macross.anime.net/production/animat...arth/index.html

The scheduled release date was Christmas...1996. Apparently Kawamori-san must have pulled out of the production process or something? Not sure if the film company credited in that link is the same one I found at galaxyfilms.com; but if it is, perhaps it is best that he did? Maybe he realized whatever film that would have been produced would surely have sucked hairy elephants' ballz or something. From the looks of this w'site, this company is, ahem, "B-list"?
