wolfx Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 Awesome cabinet....you made it part of the wall that can be seen from the other side? Or is that a mirror at the back of it?

recon Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 And Ex too! Izzyfcuk, never show pics of your customed cabinet filled with 1/55s, 1/48s and carebears etc. Cheers
jenius Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 So how do I get cabinets like those? Are they from one of the custom vendors online, are they something you did on your own, or are they something you can buy somewhere?
dizman Posted October 14, 2006 Posted October 14, 2006 Whoa thats an awesome transformers collection. I have a question, where did you get that green translucent ultra magnus?
izzyfcuk Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 And Ex too! Izzyfcuk, never show pics of your customed cabinet filled with 1/55s, 1/48s and carebears etc. Cheers Re-structuring. .louis, Re-structuring...
sci70716 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 Jenius, u will need to get this customised...its 'fixed'. I hacked down a wall and had it replaced with the see thru display. Dizman, thats is an exclusive Ultra magnus, yellow actually...i did not do a white balance when I took the photo hence it appears blueish....
sci70716 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 (edited) as requested!! Edited October 15, 2006 by sci70716
mister_e Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 my new addition to the valkyrie family Nice pic eyesonme78. I just got a low viz 2 myself. I love it, more than I thought I would even. I was thinking about picking up a couple of the Yamato stands. Question - can you mount a valk in fighter mode and keep the gunpod attached, or do you have to remove the gunpod?
Golden Arms Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 You can leave the gunpod on while the valk is in fighter mode.
Dante74 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 (edited) No you can't. You can with a VF-0, not with a 1/48 VF-1. *EDIT* As far a I know anyway. Maybe Golden Arms knows a trick I don't. Edited October 15, 2006 by Dante74
Golden Arms Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 My LV 1 is sitting in a Yamato stand with its gunpod attached in fighter mode. The view of the front of the gunpod is obstructed by attachment holding the valk in place.
Dante74 Posted October 15, 2006 Posted October 15, 2006 I just checked my CF on the displaystand and the gunpod won't fit under the fighter because the end of the barrel is exactly where the arm of the displaystand goes into the underside of the VF (behind the head) Did you have to move the gunpod to the back to get the arm in there and is there a lot of tension on the gunpod?

On mine the end of the barrel is sitting flush against the stand arm. I didn't have to do anything special to the fighters arms or the gunpod to keep everything in place.

Could the difference be dependent upon whether or not FAST packs are equipped?
jenius Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 I thought the old Yammy arms couldn't handle the gun but the new ones could?
eyesonme78 Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 wow so much replies, well i guess 1/48 doesn't allow that... but only 1/60 allows that.. but anyways i think the guys already have already answer for me.. but then i was planning on adding angel bird to my collection plus maybe one more low viz 2..
vlenhoff Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 my new addition to the valkyrie family OMG, you're so sick! I hate you! OMG, you're so sick! I hate you! I can't think of anything else... That is a lot of time patience, and dinero in those mouth watering cabinets. Congratulations, you have an insane collection! I'm almost jelous
Dante74 Posted October 21, 2006 Posted October 21, 2006 Vlenhoff- I think you have eyesonme78 confused with sci70716.
vlenhoff Posted October 22, 2006 Posted October 22, 2006 Vlenhoff- I think you have eyesonme78 confused with sci70716. Wow, you're right! I hate sci70716 then... in a very good way I guess I'll be careful not to hate the wrong fool

jenius Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 I posted a bunch more pics in an updated review of Yamato's 1/48 Super/Strike Parts (including Stealth). Check it out here. Here's a teaser:
Macross73 Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 (edited) I've been hammering out where to put the detolf cases once I got them and i'm just gonna stick to what i had in mind before. but heres what has to go inside the cases. jenius Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 That's a ton of 1/60s! Man, I definitely envy your storage space in the meantime
Grand Admiral Posted October 26, 2006 Posted October 26, 2006 Hi everyone. I've been lurking here for a couple of weeks, but I have visited this site for a few years. I finally took the plunge and bought the VF-1J Stealth and the Super/Strike Fastpack set for it. I'm overall very impressed with this toy. The design is excellent, and there are some nice details where Yamato really didn't have to add them. I'm not much of a repaint buyer, so I doubt I will buy any more VF-1 models... well maybe if they make a 1/48 VE-1. I probably will be picking up a VF-0A next. Anyway, here are some quick photos I took on the kitchen table last night. It was like christmas. The rest of my gallery is here. Anyway, this is my first post... Hi!
Golden Arms Posted October 27, 2006 Posted October 27, 2006 Welcome aboard GA. If youv'e seen Grahams pics of the yf-19 you might have to add that to your collection as well. Nice pics BTW.
