rei Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Hi I'm new here and have been lurking about for the last couple of days. I'm curious to see any Alpha or Cyclone custom galleries that include wild repaints to tasteful touchups and panel lining on either Gakkens and or MPs. Thanks. BTW, this is an awesome site. I've been in hibernation since my childhood in the '80s. You guys have so much info here. I've got a lot of catching up to do. Quote
mechaninac Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Welcome aboard! If you're smart you'll run away as fast as you can... nothing short of keeping a girlfriend happy, will separate you from your cash as fast as this obsession of ours tends to do. Run, I tell you, RUN! Quote
Dangaioh Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 (edited) Hello, welcome aboard... Unfortunately, this is all Macross... though we tend to sidetrack into "Gundams, TFs, Mazingers, Getters, Evangelion, Grendizer, Megazone, Porn, Hentai, Graham, Gatchaman, Uwe Boll movies, Porn.... etc. So I guess you would fit in, just don't type the "S" word, you get banned, unless you are talking about the "Stealth" Valkyrie. Edited March 30, 2006 by Dangaioh Quote
Noriko Takaya Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Hope you like it here. It's a fun place to be, and sometimes gets hectic. Another thing to avoid besides the "S" word is the dreaded animated avatar. Stay away from those things and you will be fine. And by the mother of all things holy, do not confuse Macross with Robotech when talking about Macross. The proverbial firing squad will look for you. Quote
1st Border Red Devil Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Dont listen to these naysayers....you can say the 'S' word if you want. I do all the time....Vive la Southern Cross! Quote
jenius Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 I LOVE MOSPEADA!!! I can show you pics of every MOSPEADA toy ever made... but unfortunately I don't have any pics of sweet customs. Quote
JB0 Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 I always thought "the S word" was shrothand for "don't be stupid." But then, we never DID ban MGREXX... Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Stick to jenius here, he's the Mospeada guru on these boards. Oh, and as Roy Batty would say: We're so happy you found us... Quote
rei Posted March 30, 2006 Author Posted March 30, 2006 Thanks for the welcome and words gentlemen. I was reading some other threads and I can't wait to see Plus, Zero and the rest of the succeeding movies after DYRL. I skimmed the plots and reviews of them. Woah man, like I said previously...I've got a lot of catching up to do. Please feel free to shoot me any Mospeada custom pics. Especially large scale Gakken or Toynami MP Alphas. Thanks again! Quote
wwwmwww Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 I can show you pics of every MOSPEADA toy ever made... 385537 Oh I wish that were true... From what I've heard I believe there are still many Gakken protypes that were made and have yet to see the light of day. Just for starters I have yet to see the Red or Green Gakken Treads and I've also heard that in that same line they made a protype Shadow Legioss and a Shadow Tread. In addition to that I've heard about several prototype Inbit toys that never made it to market as well. I'm not 100% sure this stuff exists but I'm not ruling it out yet. I can still remember when I was about 99% sure the Gakken Treads didn't exist but I'm glad that 1% kept me looking. Carl Quote
Phyrox Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 I'd say jenius might be the mospeada guru, but most certainly wwwmwww is the mospeada toy/model go-to-guy Quote

Sorry, when I talk about toys "made" I should really specify that I mean "Made it into production." I got no funds for prototype hunting. While I may do more rambling than Carl, I can assure you that he is the MOSPEADA guru. Quote
jenius Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 You guys remember this sweet Cyclone custom? You might drop a load I think member Silverdragon also has pics somewhere of a custom Gakken 1/35 Shadow Fighter he did. IIRC he was also selling casts of the head he used for people who wanted to make their own customs. Quote
Cyclone Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 And of course the first (or at least first publicised on website) custom enhanced joint 1/48 Legioss, now sadly without the how to pages showing how it was done: http://www5a.biglobe.ne.jp/~mogura/P_model/legi/LEGIOSS.HTM Quote

I wish I had time to do more rembling but life has this way of getting more and more in the way over time... I guess a wife, kids, and a job has a way of doing that. Thanks for the kind words, Carl Quote
wwwmwww Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 You guys remember this sweet Cyclone custom? 386087 That one made me think of this one... This was first talked about here I believe... http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...opic=12068&st=0 But the links are dead... One of them made it into the Way Back Machine... http://web.archive.org/web/20041106210202/.../newpage44.html but the pictures weren't saved. Arg... I hope I saved these somewhere. If not anyone here save them? Looks like this is yui1107's friend's page/project and that account was active yesterday. Time to send a PM. Carl Quote

Phyrox Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 Welcome aboard! The other members failed to mention we get to bukkake your sister. 386445 Whoooaa. Have some class. I know this is an adult board, but that is certainly no excuse for gutter tastelessness. Take that kind of language, and "welcome" somewhere else. Joke or no joke, I am honestly embarassed to be a long time member of a board where something thinks this is acceptable. Quote
Rocket Punch Posted April 1, 2006 Posted April 1, 2006 There's NEVER an excuse for gutter tastlessness or bukkake humor, but there you have it. Quote
rei Posted April 1, 2006 Author Posted April 1, 2006 (edited) AAARROOoorr.. please excuse me.. You guys are too much. I thought I had reservations of getting the MP lemon, but I reaally want the upcoming Beta and looking at this baby closes the deal. -wwwmwww: The Gakken Cylcone w/ working lights is fantastic. And lastly the candle on the cake gentlemen, Rooks masterpiece.. http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?...opic=12068&st=0 Unbelievable. Wow, thanks for that link.... turns out there's a Cyclone/Ride Armor toy out there that I don't own. That pisses me off. Absolutely incredible work on the models. His MPC pics are also a great way to see the difference between the early Scott Bernard MPC and the second editions (with the lighter blue intakes). Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted April 2, 2006 Posted April 2, 2006 Nice Legioss kits. I won`t mind if a Jap toy company makes Legioss toys exactly like those IMAI kits. Quote

The two Korean bootleg toys you own are more than likely are based on those two Henkei Type Mospeada toys. Edited April 2, 2006 by Totoro242 Quote
