azrael Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Guys, sorry for asking a question I should know the answer to but I haven't had internet at home for a while and have lost track of things. What's the current status of the Seed Destiny special edtions? I belive they were going to remake the last thrid or something so it doesn't dissapoint as badly as it did. 426373[/snapback] The Special Editions of GSD are coming. I and II have already aired on TV and III will air in October or November. II is out on R2 DVD August 25. IV will probably go straight to DVD (these are Japanese dates). Quote
Fort Max Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Thanks a lot Azrael. Are they out subbed yet? I haven't had internet at home for nearly three months now so I am completely behind on subs. Quote
GRAND CANNON Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Here's a subbed Ep.1, haven't seen an Ep.2 other than the Raws: http://bt.nanashi-fansubs.com:2710/torrent...56285a0.torrent Quote
Fort Max Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 Cool thanks Grand Cannon, I'll be downloading that &Stargazer when I finally get my own internet back sometime this week. Quote
grss1982 Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Episode 2 review: http://randomc.animeblogger.net/2006/08/18...3-stargazer-02/ WARNING: dont open the link if you dont want to be spoiled like me. Quote
Fort Max Posted October 7, 2006 Posted October 7, 2006 I finally got internet in my new flat and promptly downloaded Stargazer. Having watched it I was angry at Bandai once again for making such a mess of Destiny when this is so spectacular. Can't wait to see the finale. Quote
wolfx Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 So after 2 eps i still dunno what's the deal. Seems this anime isn't gonna care much about its characters so i'll just deal with that. I don't even know if the Verde Buster or Blu Duel are actually upgrades to the original Buster and Duel and....well...SPOILERDuel didn't get enough screen time before it gets pwned. But generally they depicted the war on earth better as well as the aftermath of the Junius 7 drop than in GSD. Quote
UN Spacy Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 Any idea when Zeta Gundam III's fansub will be out? Quote
Ginrai Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 The Zeta movies are licensed, so "ethical" fansubbers will probably not do it, but that doesn't mean it won't be fansubbed... Quote

Fort Max Posted October 9, 2006 Posted October 9, 2006 You know , commercial or not I really liked what I've seen of Stargazer thus far. Am I in the minority here? Quote
wolfx Posted October 10, 2006 Posted October 10, 2006 You know , commercial or not I really liked what I've seen of Stargazer thus far. Am I in the minority here? I kinda like it too....but i have surrendered that this series will have much if any character interactions. Already 2/3 into the series and the "characters" haven't so much talked alot. It seems to concentrate more on what was happening around the world than the characters itself. Quote
wolfx Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Danny Choo has an interesting picture about Gundam Unicorn, which is unconfirmed to be the next Gundam anime or a novel. (I think its more probably the latter) The mecha are designed by Katoki and silly name aside, that Gundam looks kinda cool. All white instead of the traditional red blue white and instead of the usual samurai horns, it has a long omni-horn that even Graham will approve. http://www.dannychoo.com/blog_entry/eng/653/Gundam+Unicorn/ Quote
Majestic Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Looks good. A new UC-timeline gundam series with all original designs by Katoki would certainly get me back into Gundam. Quote
Fort Max Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 Pity it's only a novel (for now at least), be nice if it got translated and released like Tomino's originals have been. That Gundam certainly does look sharp but you know it's going to get spoiled with a silly looking backpack before long. Quote
Dat Pinche Haro! Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 hopefully it's more of a graphic novel or something...not just one of those novels you read and see like 2-5 cool images in... Quote
promethuem5 Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 I hope it gets a good manga and an anime... new UC stuff with katoki designs are always good, and the lack of gaudy homo-dan colors is a welcome change. Quote

wolfx Posted November 12, 2006 Posted November 12, 2006 STARGAZER - STAGE III : http://a.scarywater.net/mendoi/%5BMendoi%5...%5D.avi.torrent Thanks for the heads up. Just seen it and pretty disappointed with it. The whole series lacks any direction from start to finish other than to show off new mobile suits. The whole thing just feels like a toy advertisment masquerading as an anime. Quote
Twoducks Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Thanks for the link! It feels strange to watch a Gundam from the SEED universe without recaps Quote
Hikuro Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Yeah.....it pretty much was a big advertisment for the model kits....sad.....the new hobby store that opened near work has got some Stargazer 1/144 kits.....but I wasn't too impressed with how they look. Hmmm.....ah well it was good while it lasted, maybe the show can die now. Quote
kalvasflam Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Stargazer was a good small series, but tough to get into, no recaps was just so weird. The story was a bit rushed to me, and honestly, I couldn't care less about Sven, or Selene or anyone else in the series. Oh well, if they'd just go back to little stories in UC, like MS Igloo that'll be enough for me. Quote

Hmmm.....ah well it was good while it lasted, maybe the show can die now. Yeah.....and the amount of screentime for each of the gundams were pathetic. And we still don't know if the buster and duel were the old ones piloted by Yzack and whatshisname or not. And by the end of episode 3, SPOILER I guess we can assume they are both alive since I remember Selene said they could survive for 27 days, but they were found within 3days +. Quote
azrael Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 I guess we can assume they are both alive since I remember Selene said they could survive for 27 days, but they were found within 3days +. That's still in debate. But we may get an answer in the manga serialization coming out soon or next year. Spoiler, highlight to read It was plus or minus 27 days. But it was 27 days and 21 hours when they found Stargazer, so their either alive and suffering hypothermia and many other problems or they're mummies. Quote
wolfx Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Oops yur right. I missed out a digit and thought they were found 69 hours later. Its was actually 669 hours later. Gomen. XD Oh well...... Quote
Hikuro Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 Yeah I'd say they more then likely died or else I would maybe see a different ending.....oh well I don't really care. Just let the Seed franchise die and be over with so we can move on to something else. Quote
ChrisG Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 And we still don't know if the buster and duel were the old ones piloted by Yzack and whatshisname or not. They weren't, but why would that matter anyway? Quote
wolfx Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 They weren't, but why would that matter anyway? How ya know they weren't? Well then it would be interesting to know how they fell to alliance hands again from ZAFT's. Quote
ChrisG Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 How ya know they weren't? Well then it would be interesting to know how they fell to alliance hands again from ZAFT's. Because the MG Strike IWSP manual explains that the Alliance built a second set of the original Strike, Duel and Buster and later upgraded them into Noir, Blu and Verde. Quote

kensei Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 (edited) I hope this is SEEDs next chance. Time to turn it into something that was better than Destiny. Edited December 8, 2006 by kensei Quote
