promethuem5 Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Oh Yes... it will be mine. Looks great, I especially like the neato funnel enregy effect.
Twoducks Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 PG dancing Gundam ! kickass Looks CG though.
Shmitty Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 kickass Looks CG though. I bet that's because it is.

captain america Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 Speaking of Nu-Gundam, how popular is CCA among the japanese fans? I absolutely adored that film and its designs... Any chance they might be popular enough to warrant the PG treatment? Considering the price tag on the latest Bandai Yamato, I would have very little trouble believing that they could pull-off a Sazabi MG for roughly the same price-point. Hey, I can dream can't I??

Considering the price tag on the latest Bandai Yamato, I would have very little trouble believing that they could pull-off a Sazabi MG for roughly the same price-point. Hey, I can dream can't I?? Sazabi MG? Bandai has already made a master grade sazabi years ago, did you mean PG.
captain america Posted January 31, 2007 Posted January 31, 2007 D'oh! Quite right, I meant PG. The MG version is cute, but doesn't quite have the presence I'd like. Hydrospanning the MG kit is also out, since it would still come up short for 1/60.
Godmodule Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 I like the Sazabi, mine's slugging it out with the Nu-Gundam right now! As for the Evolve MG, it's not a high one on my list as I'd like to see some Wing MG's other than the Wing Ka and WZC, the Turn-A, and even a V or V2 for the old schoolers, but it's a nice touch. However, if I were to commemorate the 100th MG with a model, here's my picks on what would make a great MG kit: 1. Tallgeese 3 2. V2 Gundam 3. Hazel Custom 4. MG Dendrobium kit (although it'd be massive as hell) 5. Deathscythe Hell EW version 6. Gundam X with Falcon Unit 7. Turn-A 8. A truly good Zaku other than the Hi-Zack 9. Bigro 10. One of the Astray frames (though the 1/100 SEED versions are excellent and better than a lot of MG kits)
azrael Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 #100 will probably be something big. Either something Amuro or Char, or the main mech of a series. 1. Bigro 10. One of the Astray frames (though the 1/100 SEED versions are excellent and better than a lot of MG kits) Chances of those MGs... 1) Low...very low. 2) Good chance, but maybe after 100 3) Good chance. Everybody loves Zeta...or AOZ.. 4) Dear god no. 5) Low, Higher than Tallgeese..but low. 6) Just X...no Falcon. 7) Good chance Unless the Zaku is due for a version 2, we just got a OYW edition. 9) Big-O...Good chance, but people went for the Zeong when they polled them. 10) Red Frame and/or Blue Frame 2nd L. No Gold frame. I'll save the rest of my forecast for later.
kung flu Posted February 2, 2007 Posted February 2, 2007 My picks to get the MG treatment would be:- 1) THE-O 2) Gabthley 3) Palace Athene 4) Methuss 5) Gaplant 6) Asshimar 7) Hammurabi Zudah Most of my picks are from zeta gundam, I really think they should bring out more suits from the Titans, theres already too many Zeon suits, why not some more models based on other factions. With the release of the Zeta movies i hope bandai has plans for more titans models
Black Valkyrie Posted February 2, 2007 Author Posted February 2, 2007 May be Bandai are too busy planning and designing for the new Gundam series this fall.
Sevket_Erhat Posted February 3, 2007 Posted February 3, 2007 May be Bandai are too busy planning and designing for the new Gundam series this fall. That'd be great
kung flu Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 MG Zaku II version 2, looks good, they'll probably bring out a red one which i would get. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10055446
Graham Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 If I was going to get back into Gundam, I'd be very tempted by the upcoming MG Hi-Nu Gundam and also by the 08th MS Team hover APC, which is just out. Saw it today in a shop, huge box. Graham
GRAND CANNON Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Lotsa new pics and info today..... New Gunpla news From Hobby Search: MG MS-06J Mass-Produced Zaku Ver. 2.0 - April, 3,675 yen mentioned above by kung flu HGUC Blue Destiny Unit 2 - April, 1,575 yen EX Model Oggo - April, 3,675 yen BB Senshi Verde Buster - April, 630 yen Pics of merchandise announced earlier: MG Strike Noir HGUC Gelgoog/Gelgoog Cannon 1/100 Akatsuki EX Model Hildolfr ¶ 11:27 PM The V2 Zaku is needed. And, yes, can you imagine the variants they may milk off of this mold?
Shmitty Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Wow, more kits I have to get. Let's see... Hi-Nu, new Zaku, Strike Noir... I was a little iffy on the Noir, but now that there are pics I'm sold.
azrael Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 Dammit Bandai....stop taking my ideas...MG Zaku II ver. 2.....*grumbles* (This will be #97 as well). BTW, the armor is based off the anime on the Zaku II and not a Katoki design. This makes me wonder if MG RX-78-2 ver. 2 will be #100. Take all the improvements of ver. 1.5 (classic look), ver. Ka (somewhat better connections with the joints and core fighter), and ver. OYW (best articulation) and slap 'em together. Those Akatsuki pics resemble the HG 1/144s.....
Black Valkyrie Posted February 5, 2007 Author Posted February 5, 2007 (edited) Till now no MG Zaku-FZ from MSG0080. Edited February 5, 2007 by Black Valkyrie
promethuem5 Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 I kinda wish we'd get a ver.Ka Zaku II... and while it would make sense to have #100 be a Gundam ver 2... do we really need it? It seems like between the 1.5, Ka, and OYW, you can get one that focuses on any aspect, looks, build, or articulation... and combining the three really wont accomplsih anything.
Dat Pinche Haro! Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 (edited) i've been wanting a kit of unit 2 from blue destiny... does anyone know if it'll come with parts to convert it into Nimbus Schterzen's colors? also, the zaku ver. 2.0 looks really nice...i just hope bandai makes something over the top for MG #100...then again, no other ms is as iconic in japan as the RX-78-2 Edited February 5, 2007 by Dat Pinche Haro!
godfather Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 (edited) So, is the Akatsuki a mastergrade or not?! Gunota lists it as just a 1/100 kit, but HobbySearch has it listed as an MG... Question is which one is right. Edited February 6, 2007 by godfather

godfather Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Damn. I was kinda hoping that it was an MG, considering the price. Oh well.
Zeta Otaku Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 (edited) It's the gold chrome plating and hopefully mold tooling to make it so no sprues are in visible areas like what they did with the MG Hyaku Shiki (first version). That always bumps the price up. Pluse there are a LOT of parts seeing as it comes with both equipment packs (I am officially shocked they didn't milk this like they did with the 1/100 HG Strike and Impulse Kits). I'm just wondering what the proportions will be like and if I'll be able to retro fit these parts onto an MG Strike frame. Edited February 6, 2007 by Zeta Otaku
Jinnai Posted February 8, 2007 Posted February 8, 2007 Dammit Bandai....stop taking my ideas...MG Zaku II ver. 2.....*grumbles* (This will be #97 as well). BTW, the armor is based off the anime on the Zaku II and not a Katoki design. #98. Strike Noir is #97. Katoki is no longer on the MG design team either, except for the times where a ver.ka release is planned. Which is why this Zaku looks delightfully retro.

Vince Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 I think the MG Strike just make a new record of recycling molds?? ... I still have a dozen or so mg zaku in boxes.
azrael Posted February 9, 2007 Posted February 9, 2007 Katoki is no longer on the MG design team either, except for the times where a ver.ka release is planned. His last non-Ver. Ka MG was the Gyan which was just last year. So he's still there.

Dat Pinche Haro! Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 cool...now i have something to look forward to! i'll probably get the hi-nu when it comes out, looks like such a beautiful kit...and i'll definately get blue destiny unit 2...i'm really hoping for some gundam x models soon too... by the way, a female friend of mine loves robots and she wanted me to choose a gundam kit for her to build on her own...any suggestions? i just remember her telling me "i just wanna pink gundam" so that might narrow it down some!!

I know there is at least a 1/144 out there.
