HWR MKII Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Hey its a want and if it were available id get it....and take over the neighborhood. Quote
honneamise Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 HO scale buildings usually look ok with 1/72 stuff. Have you seen some of the military stuff from Faller? Nice!Do you have a good link to any Preiser military buildings? 384969 Sorry Chad I confused Preiser with Faller! Of course Preiser do the figures and Faller make the buildings, they are just always displayed together in the shops here so I just thought of "the Preiser stuff". Quote
honneamise Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Guess you can´t "build" every single feature of a face in that scale, but I´d make an attempt to slightly increase the eye area and make some of the faces smoother while things like Roy´s chin (and hair of course) would have to stand out a bit. Should be possible... And MechTech I was just thinking about the 1/200 figures - Preiser have had only civilians in that scale for decades but now they are offering figures that are more "crew"ish looking, seem to be made for your ship! But you´ll need a LOT of them for that beast... Quote
Sdf-1 Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Oh man, those Faller buildings are awesome!!! It really sucks they are only in "wrong" scales. I want to do some mecha destruction!!! Mechas don't like buildings. Quote
Sdf-1 Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 I just got a sick idea. How about using some 1/72 figures with Mike's monster...??? Quote
MechTech Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 I found some airport ground crews I'm going to get. If anybody asks why there isn't anymore people on board, I'll just say they're on shore leave. I gotta get a Gloval figure though. Does anyone make 1/200 scale pipes! Now that is something you can get away with in 1/72nd. I gotta confess that 1/72nd is my favorite scale (before Macross), but I wouldn't be able to build some of the things I have that large (and still have a wife). Quote

honneamise Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Some things DESERVE big models, I don´t like those 38cm Star Destroyers and stuff, you can´t see that it is big in reality. Same thing with 1/700 warships - too tiny even if perfectly detailed. That Daedalus is just the perfect scale if you have enough space to display it properly. Personally, my dreams don´t go further than a 1/1000 SDF-1 (120cm), but built in two modes simultaneously. My girlfriend won´t like it because it has to be displayed in the living room, but still...one day... Quote
Sdf-1 Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 I think a 1/2500 Sdf-1 would be enough for me... Quote
Sar Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 1/72 would make some of the things larger than your house. 385415 "Yeah, yeah, third left, then the second right, yeah, then just look for the house on the right that looks like the SDF-1..." Quote

I know I'm new to this and also recently joined ebay, so I haven't seen much yet I have VF-17S and VF-19 KAI in 1/144 and as I understand it, it's only VF-19 that is equipped with speakers in the 'shoulders'. If I don't remember wrong from the pics I've seen VF-17T looks a bit different compared to a standard VF-17S. I just checked and the version I mean is the VF-17T KAI Custom. All three custom with soundboosters in 1/72 would be nice Or why not just conversion kits, but then of course I'll need the kits to convert first (If I find them and can afford them). But if there already are such things, please illuminate me ChaosWarrior Quote

And also their 1/100 VF-17T Kai has a sound booster. And someone... Tect, I think, made a 1/100 VF-11MAXL with sound boosters. I think that one's fixed pose though. Also, there was a Wonderfest kit of a 1/72 sound booster add-on for the Hasegawa YF-19. Seemed kinda pointless to me though, as the YF-19 and VF-19A are very different from the F, S, and Kai types. ChaosWarrior Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 Valkyrie, thanks for the info. I guess that those kits won't pop-up on ebay for a few bucks every now and then ChaosWarrior Quote
Gabe Q Posted January 3, 2009 Posted January 3, 2009 I was just thinking how far we've gotten in the Macross modelling world. 505thAirborne Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 Macross Zero models that are either variable in 1/72 scale or at least other modes besides the Fighter. A VF-0D, 0C, 0A, 0S and 0B in Gerwalk mode would be awesome. Especially a 1/72 VF-0D. All by Hasegawa since their models are super detailed!!! Quote
505thAirborne Posted January 16, 2009 Posted January 16, 2009 vf 2ss 1/60 If we ever live long enough!!! If people has more respect or love for Macross II. we would have a lot more VF-2SS products!! Quote
