Actually, that's a painted VT-1 head. The Bandais have an all black head, this one has had the circle in the middle painted white.

How very very odd. Thanks for pointing that out! So what we have here is a VF-1D with a VT-1 head currently installed... but the option to convert it to a VF-1D later. Um, i'm guessing the word "original" in this item is incorrect.

Just noticed something else. It's missing something on the legs.

It's a custom that was quite finished, no doubt. You can tell that it was painted and that it has non-factory decals applied. Boths heads look to be recasted.

those bits never seem to go back into a joon's properly... cheap toys. It is a nice custom job but must be older as any sane person would custom a re-issue bandai now-a-days. They cost the same and are a better product.
