promethuem5 Posted April 12, 2008 Posted April 12, 2008 Same here... I'd LOVE some detailed looking animation-model based TF Revoltechs... but he current ones are so ugly it's just unfair.
protostar8 Posted April 14, 2008 Posted April 14, 2008 So, did anyone ever get any info on the gurren lagann with wings and drill bits all over it?
IXTL Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 New pics of Razengann, YF-19 and YF-21. http://hk.rd.yahoo.com/blog/mod/art_title/...rticle?mid=9014 Looks like Razengann will come packaged with Gurren Lagann's jet pack minus the wings.
VFTF1 Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Same here... I'd LOVE some detailed looking animation-model based TF Revoltechs... but he current ones are so ugly it's just unfair. The only hope is that Kaiyodo will make a Victory Saber Revoltech - because he didn't sho up in Dreamwave - unless he showed up some Pat Lee inspired universe profile that I'm not aware of? The only reason I posit this is because so far they are going SFC character for character. Prime/Megatron, then Starscream/Hotrod. So now it's time for Victory Saber! And they better combine VFTF1
ruskiiVFaussie Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 (edited) Brilliant! Thankyou IXTL for your efforts. Cool as pose the 19 is pulling, wicked! I love the fact that Kaiyodo thought of throwing in the PPB sheilds for coolness. Getting both these babies! Edited April 20, 2008 by ruskiiVFaussie

Mr March Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Fantastic. I am so getting the Macross Plus figures.
David Hingtgen Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 I think everyone who's ever read this thread will buy the M+ ones.
Mr March Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 What can I say, Kaiyodo's got a winner and they know it. I've got Macross, Patlabor and Evangelion figures from their Revoltech line and I'll be getting the Reguld and YF-19/YF-21 as well. Plus I've got the Griffin from Patlabor and the EVA mass production figures on my list. I purchased the hero mecha first, now I just need an enemy for each set The Revoltechs are some of the best display figures I've ever seen. Their incredible articulation never stops. Once a week, I'm changing the figures into new poses for display on my computer desk
GogDog Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 I think everyone who's ever read this thread will buy the M+ ones. Except for Graham, who doesn't' like his Valks to "breakdance."
Twoducks Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 I think everyone who's ever read this thread will buy the M+ ones. It's the little details like the pintpoint punch and shield that make them worth every penny and more. They even go for the real action poses of the anime in the promo pics (love the freefalling shot of the YF-19). You just can't resist getting both.

Haha, I can't resist getting ANY, as I have most of them. I just love what Kaiyodo is doing, for the simple fact that other toy makers are taking notice of the articulation, and taking notice of the money Kaiyodo is raking in. Hopefully this will lead other makers (here's looking at YOU, Americans...) to start upping the quality and articulation of their own products. I saw the new Watchmen figures coming out from DC direct. You can do what with them, rotate the arms? In the 21st century, that should be unacceptable.
Mr March Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 (edited) Somewhat, more like a slightly olive-grey. I'm fairly certain I got the color really close to the anime for the YF-19 FAST Pack profile on my site. I'm sure the FAST Packs will be the proper color for the final consumer product. Edited April 20, 2008 by Mr March
UN Spacy Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Ummmmmmm. How come the Gurren's Wing Pack is....WINGLESS?
ShadowerV2 Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Will get the M+ ones for sure too. Where forth art thou ARX-8 Revoltech!!??
GogDog Posted April 20, 2008 Posted April 20, 2008 Ummmmmmm. How come the Gurren's Wing Pack is....WINGLESS? Well, someone just edited the Wikipedia page saying that there will be a wing version in August. Don't know how true it is...

I'm fairly certain I got the color really close to the anime for the YF-19 FAST Pack profile on my site. I'm sure the FAST Packs will be the proper color for the final consumer product. Hope your right. Rather a glaring departure from the anime if not. I wonder how noticeable the mounting holes are? Edit: Revisited the new pictures and the color poster in the background has the wrong color fast packs. Does not look good. Edited April 20, 2008 by Fly4victory
GogDog Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 (edited) Kaiyodo just updated their official Revoltech page with the June releases. No FAST packs pictured. I'm pretty sure that this is the first time there have been three non-exclusive releases in one month for the main line (except for the month the line debuted). Edited April 21, 2008 by GogDog
Mr March Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Oh yeah. Finally a YF-19 toy that can do the flying kick
the_foul_fowl Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 More pics here: http://ga.sbcr.jp/mgangu/009713/ So full of win, love the inclusion of the pin point barrier pieces. Last para on link, if I read it correctly, it's saying that "as a bonus, a part of the Gurren Wings will be included in the Razangan. By collecting the two wings which will be included in a later (undisclosed) set, you'll be able to form the flight version of Gurren Lagann". The article doesn't say with which fig or set the 2 wings will be packaged with.
UN Spacy Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Thanks for the news the foul fowl! Those YF preorders can't come fast enough...
badboy00z Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 The 19 and 21 looks great. When are they going to be released?
UN Spacy Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 The 19 and 21 looks great. When are they going to be released? June 15 along with Razengan.
IXTL Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 (edited) Official Razengan, YF-19 & 21 pics. http://www.amiami.com/shop?vgForm=ProductI...ate=review.html http://www.amiami.com/shop?vgForm=ProductI...ate=review.html http://www.amiami.com/shop?vgForm=ProductI...ate=review.html I am so tempted to get Razengan, he looks absolutely wicked. The extra accessory included is indeed Gurren Lagann's jet pack sans wings. Looks like those will be packaged with some future Revoltech TTGL figure. The little energy blast thingees to attach to the shields of the Macross Pluss figures are a nice touch. YF-19 looks squat but YF-21 looks fantastic. Edited April 21, 2008 by IXTL
Mowe Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Love that shinny deep blue. I wish the 1/60 Yammie had used a similar paint.
Mr March Posted April 21, 2008 Posted April 21, 2008 Absolutely brilliant! They go through all the poses in the anime. I love that! These are so going to be mine
wolfx Posted April 22, 2008 Author Posted April 22, 2008 Strangely only 1 gunpod for YF-21 and white colored fastpacks for the YF-19. Not sure if i am getting them....
Beware of Blast Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Gah, the chestplate on the YF19 looks like circumcision gone bad.
Lynx7725 Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Not going to get these. I'm getting my 1/60 Yammie 21, so not keen on a non-transformable version. 'Sides, the Battroid mode was never my favourite.
IXTL Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 (edited) From this month's Figure King. Revoltech Yoko and Enki coming soon. Updated with better quality pic. Edited April 23, 2008 by IXTL
the_foul_fowl Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Yes! That would round up the Gurren stuff nicely, though I could wish for a Kamina as well!
crasis Posted April 22, 2008 Posted April 22, 2008 Revoltech Yoko and Enki coming soon. EPIC MF'N WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
