cschell Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 the Microman versions aren't any better either. I have to say in my experience the Microman versions are definitely better, and much cheaper as a bonus. (But they are still too floppy.) My Shounen Ace Asuka is one of the worst figures I own. It falls apart if you look at it funny. Trying to pose it is an act of frustration as you move one part into place and a different part just falls off. Mine also has the loose heels so I had to glue them into place to get it to stand. And what's up with the heels anyway? I don't recall 8" stilettos in the cartoon. (I'm not really the biggest fan of the sculpt on this figure, always seemed a little too sharp / stylized for me, but that's of course personal preference.) I think Kaiyodo did a really nice job on the sculpts of the gashapon sets they released long long ago, so I have high hopes that the revy figures turn out really well. Wouldn't it be great to have a good looking figure that you can move without it falling to pieces? Kinda like the GIJoe toys or the Microman 99 line.
ruskiiVFaussie Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 (edited) I've got both Shounen Ace figures, and i love the sculpts especialy of Asuka, but the arms are totally hard to keep on, as are the shoulders. Other than that they are nice, but the Revy's will totally kick their arse. Can't wait to see Asuka all painted up! Edited November 14, 2007 by ruskiiVFaussie
Chet Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 I dunno. The hips and thighs on the Shonen Ace figures seem spot on, while the ones on the Revoltechs are just slightly better looking than the awful Microman versions.
UN Spacy Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 I never did like the Shonen Ace Asuka. Loose joints and shoulders that would fall off with the slightest touch.
dyowelb Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 Hi Guys,\ Just want to share my new Brocken. Still not yet finished though(needs to fix a chip on the paint, courtesy of my 2 year old son) Anyways, here's the picture. After this' I'll work on Helldiver.

the_foul_fowl Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 Just to add to my wishlist.... A Revoltech Gurren-Lagann would be much appreciated, Kaiyodo! *still keeping fingers crossed for a Fraulein Major Kusanagi*
ShadowerV2 Posted November 19, 2007 Posted November 19, 2007 *still keeping fingers crossed for a Fraulein Major Kusanagi* Me too. Me too...
the_foul_fowl Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 #0042 Ingram 1 #0042 Ltd Ingram 2 #0043 Ingrams look fully loaded!
malakite Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 DUDE! Where did you get the pics from? Mind putting the link here? Been trying to find info abt Revoltech New releases for ages!! Many Thanks!
Mr March Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Oh yeah! I can see the joint for the revolver storage compartment on the Patlabors. Nice job on the shoulder lights as well. Much more noticeable in scarlet than the deep red of the first versions.
Jeremy007 Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 those new ingrams look fantastic! must own.
promethuem5 Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 The new Ingrams look amazing and heavily armed... I might pick up a unit 2 to go with the Alphonse I already have.
Chet Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 Why does the Unit 2 say "Ltd"? Is it a Limited Edition?
Fly4victory Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Looks great but I thought the armor/pads were dark OD green on the show?
promethuem5 Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 I think they are usually OD... looks kinda odd in black, more like a bulky leather jacket... looks like the covers kill arm articulation as well, which is a shame...
promethuem5 Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Those are actually pics of the next CMS Ghokin Ingrams...
Tober Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Those are actually pics of the next CMS Ghokin Ingrams... Oops, sorry. I Forgot this is a Revoltech thread. I didn't mean to mislead. It is considerably more expensive too.
malakite Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 Ah crud.... And I though my wishes were answered....Lol, if they did the reactive armour version for the Pat's, then there'll be hope for a armour valk! I can dream can't I?
Tober Posted November 22, 2007 Posted November 22, 2007 The armoured valk makes alot of sense for a Rev figure 'cos it can't transform anyway. I think it depends how well the other 3 valks sell, they must have the liscence.
Tober Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 Interesting image taken at the Dengeki 15th Anniversary showing what appear to be furure releases from the Fraulein line: Image Gallery
ruskiiVFaussie Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 (edited) Tober! SWEEET! Thankyou man! Asuka full colour! OOOOoooOo And deffinently getting brunette. (whats her name? from?) Still taking the stance on not getting Rei though... Edited November 25, 2007 by ruskiiVFaussie
Lynx7725 Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 And deffinently getting brunette. (whats her name? from?) That should be Tosaka Rin from Fate/ Stay Night. That probably means a new Saber in the Fraulein line then...
ruskiiVFaussie Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Meh, one Saber is enough, unless they do her in the maid outfit they release her in many PVC get ups. She's a nice little blonde!
Lynx7725 Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Meh, one Saber is enough, unless they do her in the maid outfit they release her in many PVC get ups. She's a nice little blonde! Hard to say. 2G Saber is a nice fig but slightly off in the face sculpt (best I've seen is the Kotobukiya standing Saber). Being the first 2G Revoltech also means it's a little experimental, so it may be worthwhile to upgrade to a Fraulein body. It really depends on how good the Fraulein Rei is, and what their conceptual of a Fraulein Saber is like. If it's an affordable figure with the level of details as the EBCraft Saber, then it's a great steal.
ruskiiVFaussie Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 (edited) Heh, yeah, well it's like i'm a big Asuka fan... and Rei and Asuka's body should be exatly the same, i don't need two. Now with Revy's, lol, now that's a body to buy multiples of! Guess i'm just not a loli fan. :P I've got one lingerie, full nude, blonde, and another alternate colour (not figured out yet) which are all in the to be customized bin.
