Mr March Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 IIRC- Revoltech is coming out with a "Patlabor: The Movie" version of the Alphonse, with all the bells and whistles (leg opens, collarbone lights open and close). Thank you drew. That is fantastic news! You don't know how lucky I am. I was debating purchasing an AV-98 Ingram Unit 1 or a Unit 2. Even though I wanted the Unit 1 more, I purchased the Unit 2 to get the shotgun. Now I can purchase this new "film version" Unit 1 with all the goodies without having to double dip!
the white drew carey Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 No worries. I have Units 1, 2 and Zero, yet I still plan on getting the movie version if/when it comes out.
Mr March Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Well, it's not like they are Yammies, so I suppose double dipping isn't a big deal. And let's face it, these little figures are so cool any owner could certainly find plenty of buyers to sell what they don't want. Btw, the Type Zero looks really cool. I may have to pick that one up with the next batch of three
Fly4victory Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Btw, the Type Zero looks really cool. I may have to pick that one up with the next batch of three The Zero is cool to have for the big riot shield. I like having 1 and 2 stacked behind the 0 like an entry team.
Lynx7725 Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Like so? Amazing what you can hide behind that shield.. Also, the VF-1J arrived; it's quite fun to play with, and the stand provided is great for airborne poses. The VF-1S should be arriving soon too.
Dante74 Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Don't know if this link has been posted before. Lots of Revoltech pics on Danny Choo's site from his wonderfest summer 2007 coverage. (Helldiver etc.)
vermillion01 Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 I cant wait for those new Patlabor revys... i've been holding off on buying the others because of too many valks syndrome - PPMTCSG (damn you Yamato), but i'll have snap those puppies up as soon as they become available. The Helldiver looks amazing, and as for a deluxe movie version unit1.... bring it... i will buy it!
ruskiiVFaussie Posted October 20, 2007 Posted October 20, 2007 Once my cam arrives (stupid seller had to send by a courier which means he had to wait till next week to send...) i'll post a huge ass battle diorama that includes all my available Revy's. (around 16 or more) It's gonna be filth!
promethuem5 Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Crap.... I WILL buy the new Alphonse (I don't have Unit 2 or 0 cuz 2 is just like Alphonse and I don't really like 0) and I will HAVE to buy the HellDiver, and the new mecha, and Testuijin, and I might actually gave to a getter with that Shin Getter fig.
Fly4victory Posted October 21, 2007 Posted October 21, 2007 Like so? Amazing what you can hide behind that shield.. Yeah that is the one. I copied your idea a while back but was a little off on the position of the Type 0. After watching the movies I do not know if I would feel comfortable in such a formation.

There is no way i will pass on a Revoltech Alphonse.

Revoltech VF-1J "Transformed". http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/viewthread...;extra=page%3D1 Thats awsome! kinda like an SD valk! i love the scenery parts too.. anyone know where we get them? (the backdrop parts that is)
Jeremy007 Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 whoever did this did a really nice job. i agree, the BG looks great.
Lynx7725 Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 i agree, the BG looks great. The BG are actually a series of mechanical base sets made by Kotobukiya, seen here: Set 1 Set 2 Set 3 They are very good and can be chained together. The accessories that come with them are very nice, and for 1/144 models are a perfect scale to display MSes in, though CCA-era MS are a tad too big. Even the Revoltech Labours look very good in them. If you got the space to display them, I heartily recommend a set of 3 -- but they do eat up space, so getting more than that isn't recommended.
the_foul_fowl Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Even more pics of the Brocken and Helldiver Helldiver http://www.amiami.com/shop/?vgForm=Product...ate=review.html Brocken http://www.amiami.com/shop/?vgForm=Product...ate=review.html Both look amazing... Eh, a red Brocken, ltd ed? http://www.amiami.com/shop/?vgForm=Product...ate=review.html
Mr March Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 My gawd, that Helldiver looks amazing! The colors and the gun looks just like in the movie. I didn't even realize it had a big combat knife until now
Dante74 Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Why a big ol' robot would need a flight helmet is beyond me but that it sure looks good so who cares right? I'm glad I got the Ingram and the type Zero. These'll look neat next to them.
Jeremy007 Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 the Helldiver is amazing! One of the best looking revoltech figs to date.
promethuem5 Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Crap the HellDiver is GORGEOUS... I cannot wait.
Fly4victory Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 (edited) Why a big ol' robot would need a flight helmet is beyond me but that it sure looks good so who cares right? Two heads makes the visor look like it moves up and down. Look at the color difference and the position of the slider on the center front of the helmet. Edited October 22, 2007 by Fly4victory

wolfx Posted October 22, 2007 Author Posted October 22, 2007 Max and Miria Brocken? The Helldiver rox! I want a squad!
the_foul_fowl Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 (edited) Max and Miria Brocken? The Helldiver rox! I want a squad! Same thoughts! I'm tempted to get a squad o' Helldivers. I really think a few of them would look great together... And I haven't even watched any Patlabor anime before Edited October 23, 2007 by the_foul_fowl
Mr March Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Hehehe, similar to me an Neon Genesis Evangelion. I have seen some of the show, but I purchased a Revoltech without even knowing much about it. It just looks cool!
drifand Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Love the new labors but am slightly disturbed by the 'sliced off' feet hydraulics... especially when they've painted them so shiny!
konimon Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 (edited) Love the new labors but am slightly disturbed by the 'sliced off' feet hydraulics... especially when they've painted them so shiny! Although I like the greater feet articulation, it does kind of bother me. It would be cool if hydraulics were spring loaded metal shafts. What really bothers me though is that Brocken comes only with a steel pipe... Shouldn't Brocken come with a Walther MPL submachine gun?? Edited October 23, 2007 by konimon
promethuem5 Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 I was wondering about the lack of accessories on the Brocken too.... weird.
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 It wouldn't surprise me if they were saving the cool accesories for a third release of the Broken
eriku Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Does anyone know when the Rei and Tetsujin figures are supposed to come out? I would guess soon, especially for Rei, but I haven't seen any of my usual sources posting preorders.
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 I love the Broken, but I'm not too impressed by the scheme provided by Kaiyodo. I'm not much of a modeller, so I was thinking on an easy way to customize it. I think a brush and some tape will do the trick
thegunny Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 After watching the movies I do not know if I would feel comfortable in such a formation. As long as you're behind Ohta you should be safe

drifand Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 Here are 5 scans from 'DIORAMA WORLD' featuring the work of famed modeler Takuji Yamada. First 2 are 'modern' army: Followed by a 'retro fantasy' WWII scheme:
