Yes, I agreed. There is just something not quite right about the sculpt proportion. But hell, they still look fun and you can't beat the revoltech posability.

it's either the head is too small, the hands are too big, or a combination of the two. the figure looks all out of proportion, though it could be from the way the pictures are taken.

You guys, the Eva-05 Weapon version is coming back in stock. Snap them up before they are vamooshed again.

let me know if this link doesn't work, it works for me fine though... <_>

3 Eva-05s (1 weapon and 2 wing versions) is way enough for me... But the weapon version is very nice.

Especially for the lance!

But it's sooo cheap... sad that hlj.com have the weapon sets just as expensive as the Eva figures themselves lol.

That Blue Kai version of the Unit 00 looks REALLY damn cool, and I don't even like NGE! The mecha fan in me might pick one up when it comes time to order my Revoltech VF-1J :)

As in the Borg from Star Trek?

The borg probably comes from the word cyborg or something. You have to ask Kaiyodo or read the link for that one.

Revoltechs are so addictive...

The articulation is so great and dynamic, I sometimes find myself enjoying the poses that can be accomplished more than the mecha designs themselves. Some of the Revoltechs looks so great, I want to buy some of the mecha from shows I've never seen or even outright dislike! Now that's addictive! :)

A bad mecha show has never deterred me from buying a great mecha toy :) I'm here for the art of the mecha, the plot in mecha shows always has been a secondary thing for me :)

I'd be lying if I said my fondness for the show itself doesn't play a significant role in my enjoyment of the mecha. I've actually disliked the design of a mecha before watching the show only to fall in love with the mecha when I become a fan of the show. I hated the Bebop designs before I watched the show, now they are one of my favorite set of ship designs :)

But in the case of Kaiyodo's Revoltech figures, you don't even need to know anything about the shows at all to appreciate the mecha. For example, I know nothing about Getter Robo G or Shin Getter Robo stuff and the designs are very retro-super robot (a genre which I've never liked). But the figures are so cool I find myself admiring the mecha too. I could see myself impulse buying one of those figures if I happened to see them in a hobby shop here in Tdot. Or, in some cases I love the mecha, but didn't like the show. I've always adored the Evangelion mecha designs but disliked the anime. I can see myself purchasing an EVA soon :)

Yea!!! More Auska & Rei!!!!post-3608-1189512594.gif

By the way, have you guys seen the Volks Rei and Auska? the sculpt is really nice and they are approx 210mm high, very nice size. The joint system is very similar to revoltech, but they complicated the ball joint locking mechanism a little, so it is not as robust as the revoltech. Nevertheless, they are a must have if you are a die-hard Eva fan.

got a heads up that the Asuka Revoltech could be out in January...
