kanata67
i havent seen any lego creations, anyone wanna throw their hat into the ring? ill start... even though i suck gerwalk/fighter only, no arms, im kinda short on good parts that i can find 375001[/snapback] you must be new here. Do a search on lego macross and all sorts of cool stuff pops up. Variable vf-1s lego sets, destroid monster lego, zen battle pod lego, destroid defender lego, even a glaug lego [mine will be better when I get to it though ]. I'm sure there have been others as well. I warn you though that you better be buying lego's by weight if you want to do bigger projects, and the specialty pieces will kill you. Rocket Punch
Why buy bulk when you can design a set on your computer? LEGO.com Factory Homepage Download the 3D virtual builder, place an order, and your custom kit will be delivered to your door with instructions and box! evirus
meh..... i tryed "lego factory" didn't like it too much because of the part limitations (the program seperates them all into part sets and what your realy buying is a number of each set regardless of weather or not you used every single part in each set to make your model) also the way of putting the models together is rather odd in the program, id rather buy a bunch of parts and put it all together on the fly, by hand, which i have done when i was a kid but i didnt have a specific thing in mind i just wanted a bunch of different lego parts. maybe when i actualy get an income and what not ill start buying the bulk part sets and after a while of working out the deminsions i should be able to make one that fits the taller, more articulated(knee and elbow joints, ball socket for neck connection) technic figures

M'Kyuun
I built a fully transformable VF-4, albeit stylized, that features perfect transformation to all three modes. This is the revised version; I took the original to BrickCon in Seattle back in October. http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=523248

I like the VF-4 much better when it can move it's shoulders. Much more dynamic, great job!
M'Kyuun
Thanks, fellas. I agree with you, Kelsain. I have Yamato's VF-4, and it is so limited by those immovable shoulder nacelles. I wish they'd done the same. Alas, that's the beauty of creating your own.

paramat
Here's my VF-1. For this i prioritised proportions over a fully connected transformation, so the arms, legs, chest plate, canopy shield and tail fins are all detached and re-attached during transformation. The cockpit rotates and there is an escape hatch under the head. http://www.flickr.com/photos/11181786@N02/ Edited March 15, 2013 by paramat
J.T. Silversmith
I built a Lego version of an original design I called the VA-4 Peregrine. It is a VTOL Attacker designed and tested at the New Edwards Test Center on Eden. I intended it to be a contemporary of the VF-11 and the VA-3. I have a gallery on Deviant Art that has lots of pictures if you are interested. http://jtsilversmith.deviantart.com/gallery/45823764 Tell me what you think. dialNforNinja
Very nice JT! Worthy of Kawamori-sensei himself. I love LEGO, but don't have the funds for them these days. That's what got me started on the 3d models originally, and look at where that led! Nowif I could just finish one before the next starts knocking on the inside of my skull trying to get out... I find it amusing that it has an awful lot of overlap between the VF-1 and the VF-2SS (Leg positioning in fighter mode, mostly.) Oh wow, you have super packs and radomes and armor done for it too! This thing looks like a real bruiser as well. You should make a video of it transforming/moving around, so we can get a better idea how it works.
