Chebosto Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 you got to be kidding me, they went with a Jungle Cammo Theme? UGH. Quote
1 VF-1 2NV Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Haha. Looks like these will be released. Kinda like the chrome yamato stand. Quote
aurascope Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Muhahahaha! VF-1A in jungle camoflage! Quote
fansubs2000 Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Oh my God!!! That stealth will be mine!!! Cool that they are doing a new LV, but i gotta say i'm not crazy about it. Will the low viz be limited like the original? If not, i don't think i will get it. The Steath for sure though!!! I love way it looks!! Things to get this year for sure.......... 1. 1/48 VF-1J Steath 2. 1/60 VF-0S 3. 1/15 Megazone Garland transforming motorcycle Quote
wolfx Posted February 24, 2006 Author Posted February 24, 2006 The low viz looks better here than the WF photos. Especially the ones in gerwalk and fighter mode. I like that gerwalk pose with the yammie stand in the stand pics. And the stealth looks kinda good too. I'd hit it. Quote
Anubis Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Not a big fan of the LV2, but I do like the Stealth. I'll get that one at least. Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 I'll say it again, the LV2 is looking really good Gonna get multiples!!!! Quote
mechaninac Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Looks like I'm going to be saving $300+ this year. I don't much care for either of those schemes; the "stealth" looks patchy and the LV2 looks clownish... meh! Quote
ValkJunkie Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 oh yea.. that Stealth 1J is looking mighty tasty.. for some odd reason i'm digging the jungle camo too.. gonna get both.. didnt like the original yam stands in the first place.. and plating them isnt gonna help. Quote
RT junkie Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Like the stealth. Still not too crazy about the LV II, but I'm just happy that someone is still making Macross toys... Quote

THAT piece of crap is the best they could create for the stealth? The LV v2 is a pathetic joke; DEFINITELY WILL PASS! Quote
easnoddy Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 (edited) I don't see any pics, what's going on? Nevermind, my company is blocking stuff from that site... Edited February 24, 2006 by easnoddy Quote
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 I'm surprised noones mentioned this, even MORE surprised that I didn't even think this at first glance, but now that I see the low viz once more(looks a bit toned down), it RESEMBLES the JASDF Mitsubishi F-1 camo! The kite symbol is red as it is, so it reminds me of the japanese military logo. (the red sun). Anyways a lot of JASDF F-1s have black noses/trim, and VERY similarly colored/styled camo. So if anything this is a throwback/nod to the JASDF, and now that I think about it, I truly believe it was inevitable that we would get something like this. And the missles are grey now! So I actually like it now. And I guess its "low viz" per se in regards to certain regions of japan. So to me it finally makes sense. Besides the F-1 is retiring pretty soon so I definitely think this is an homage. But I think it should be called "mitsubishi omage VF-1" rather than "low viz 2". I think the stealth valk should be called "low viz 2". The black shield is really throwing me off, I wish it was the light or dark grey on the camo itself to match, it stands out too much. Quote
Roy's Blues Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 That stealth has color coordinated F.P. in some shots. Any word on if it is going to be bundled like the 1st 1J release? Super sized? I hope so. Quote
UN Spacy Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Anyone know if the new stands will support the gunpod for the 1/48's in Fighter Mode? I know it does for the 1/60 VF-0S. Quote

Dangard Ace Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Ooo....nice. Love the stealth, tempted to get 2. CamoValk....I like it enough to get one. Quote
Rusty Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 HAS YAMATO ANY NEWS ABOUT THIS VALKS IN HIS JAPAN SITE? AND THESE VALKS ARE NICE NOT REALLY NICE, BUT I GET ONE AT LAST. Quote
Chebosto Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 i like how you can paint something black or in dark colors and call it "stealth" what, UN Spacy has RAM absorbing paint now? hahaha. Quote
Dante74 Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 The stealth looks great! I hope it comes with FAST packs. Although the Low Vis paintscheme is problably based on a real fighter I still don't like it so I'll pass on that one. Quote
fearyaks Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 I think they're both pretty kickin' . Props to Yamato for doing something new. Quote
nightmareB4macross Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 At least Yamato is trying. I for one am not fond of the VF-1A LV2, it looks odd. The VF-1J Stealth is a bit appealing, but looks like someone just customized a valk with matte colors. Valk Stand Chrome - I like it. It would work well with a shelf that has a mirrored background. The stand would seem to dissapear and the valk would appear to be in flight. Valk Stand Black - Same as chrome, just a black background. I like it. Quote
dr_vandermeer Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 I like them both now. Seeing them in all 3 modes did it. Quote
Macross73 Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 These pics are better here than the WF pics. not crazy about the paint schemes maybe would have preffered something else. i'm thinking about buying them, though Quote

myk Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 (edited) $200 with, $160 without. Then again, sounds like most of us will pass so it doesn't matter, although the idea of having limited edition, stealth colored 'Paks is tempting. I wonder if the pictures shown previously will reflect what the boxes will look like? Edited February 24, 2006 by myk Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 So is this the official color of the stealth ? Quote
howieh Posted February 24, 2006 Posted February 24, 2006 Agreed. I've also taken a fondness to both. Quote
