KingNor Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 (edited) Does anyone know where i can find a video or something online that i can show a friend of mine of Unit 2 killing all the white Evas in the end of Evangelion movie? I've been searching the web and having a hard time finding this, anyone know where a spot might be that has some clips? (or even animated gifs will do) thanks mw! Noriko Takaya Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 Well, to blatantly state the obvious while no one else has, why not just go to the video store and rent a copy of End of Evangelion? Then you can show your friend the entire movie. Quote

You'l note i was asking about a place online to see a quick clip. Suggesting renting the movie at a video store is less "blatantly stating the obvious" and more "not reading my request." In any case theres a few things in that movie i'd rather not display at work. Quote
F360° Posted February 14, 2006 Posted February 14, 2006 a clip or a gif is pretty small for something your friend and yourself to talk about reguarding motion of the eva's and large "things" in general in animation. Also that battle is pretty long, so I don't think you'll find one. For animation motion you will need a bigger quality and the pause/slow button to really appreciate the detail and the smooth movements. So you have a couple of choices.. -RENTing the MOVE is a very good idea.,, it's fast, you get great quality, you can also chose which part to watch. If both of you haven't seen the movie yet,, then it's a must. You will also enjoy the movie abit more for watch the whole thing before watching just the battle scenes. -Downloading the a version of the MOVIE online. If you have problems of just bringing the whole movie at work ( this is just bring it, not watching the whole movie, or only watching the battle scene ) then I recommend for you to encode just the battle scene at home from your options above. it's farily easy, if you download it then it'll be in avi format. For AVI you'll just have to cut the clip. If it's DVD you'll have alittle bit more work. AS a EVA fan, I recommend you renting the movie as it will have the best quality you can get and it will be easier for you to truly enjoy the animation motion and details. Quote

But the films have been legally for sale here in the US for the last 6 years, and asking someone to point out a site where they can download a clip of a fight that lasts about 10 to 20 minutes is ridiculous. If you have never read Gainax's page on Evangelion and copyright issues, you would find out they are extremely anal when it comes to their cash cow, especially when dealing with video and sound files. NERV Posted February 15, 2006 Posted February 15, 2006 there have been AMV's made of the battle, 2 specific ones i know of that should have gotten a good amount of distribution are one to flight of the valkyries and one to to the them song from thin red line, if you search for "AMV thin red line" or "AMV flight of the valkyries" you may be able to find it Quote
