Sdf-1 Posted February 9, 2006 Posted February 9, 2006 (edited) Wow, that's great stuff! I've missed the whole thing. As I've never played an online game at all, I'm trying to check there how can I actually join etc... Hope people don't mind a complete n00b over there... Edited February 9, 2006 by Sdf-1 Quote
the white drew carey Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 Hey, awesome artwork on the main page. Seriously, though, if you're going to use my artwork, I will require my name be credited on the image itself. It looks you've photochopped Max out of the rest of the image. If you want, I can send you a copy of the Max image by itself. It'll make for a cleaner image. Quote
Roy Focker Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 Oh those guys suck! One of them. This one guy had the nerve to kill off one my characters by having him cut off his own head with a sword. My character was trained since birth! The guy said he did it cause I stopped posting. He wouldn't allow me to play my first character I created either. Cause he said they're aren't Zombie Cyclone riders in Macross. What's worst is they threaten to kick me out for a game post I made. My character was porking another in the ass trying to break a record and gain information. They said I was too crude and vulgar and their RPG wasn't a hentai one. Didn't these idiots see the Sentinel's Comic Book character art of Minmay? Avoid that place! Quote
Project Phoenix Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Wow... I haven't visited that site since the big split with AMRN. This brings back memories. Both painful and sweet. Quote
Jester Posted February 13, 2006 Author Posted February 13, 2006 Hmm can't actually remember where I found the picture Drew, it was on a randomly posted site and was just Max on his own. I assumed it was an official image. (Damn these fanart artists for being so good LOL) Drop me a PM with your details so I can credit you on the website. BTW my wife did the main page artwork, (she is a Graphic Designer by trade.) You should see some of her other work Quote
Jester Posted February 13, 2006 Author Posted February 13, 2006 Err MRG (Macross RPG Galaxies site,) not to be confused with the MRC. Quote
Project Phoenix Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Ah, sorry if I got it wrong. Jester, you're the guy who ran M-15 since before 2000 on guvava.net(or was it .com?) right? Quote
Jester Posted February 13, 2006 Author Posted February 13, 2006 Yep, I've been running it for about 8+ years now, (probably closer to 10 years.) Both through the MRN, MRC, and now MRG Quote
Project Phoenix Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Bingo! I knew it was you. I didn't join MRC but was lurking back in 1999. Then through blind chance and prodding I joined MRN(then later AMRN) for 3 years. That was an unforgettable experience. Both good and bad. Quote
Jester Posted February 13, 2006 Author Posted February 13, 2006 lol Well thats why we have the MRG With the MRN, and MRC there were......personality classes....and difference of opinions that ended up turning something that is supposed to be fun in to a daily nightmare. The MRG is all about fun, with limited paperwork so as to allow people to just enjoy themselves. Each GM has their own little area. Not all campaigns inhabit their own campaign world, some still choose to inhabit the M-15 campaign world/universe, but everyone works well together. I like to think that we have taken the mistakes of the MRN, and the MRC, and learned not to repeat them. Thats not to say we are perfect, but we've not had any problems so far Quote
Project Phoenix Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 That's good to hear, Jester. I was burned out after those 3 years. But I've wondered what Macross RPGs online would it be like today. Looks like I found the answers. Quote

Looks like I found the answers. 369818[/snapback] Man that was a good time. Even with all the craziness during the great split. I'm glad to see the Macross XV fleet is still alive and well today. Even my old Death Angels were up and kicking until a few months ago it seems from the boards. There's part of me that would love to do it again, but there isn't a campaign that just grabs my attention. Quote

We simply see if a GM is interested in running it, and that there is player interest. Nice and simple. Then we just leave the GM to run it. Im currently supervising two new GM's in a Mentor/Learner method but generally they only come to me to ask me the difficult questions. Otherwise they are free to do their own thing Quote
