Save Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 (edited) Just got back from lunch and saw this over at Kaiyodo. Feast your eyes friends! Looks like they are setting up for when they will arive in stores. UPDATE OKAY here are some larger size pics and larger file size so I hope you have fast internet. Also while I was there they put the air brake back in place. VF-0S Gallery Edited February 7, 2006 by SaveRobotech Quote
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 LOOSE AIRBRAKE LOL!!! Hmmm...the finish looks semi gloss!.....but the color makes it look slightly cheap....maybe its the lighting? That pricetag sure ain't cheap though holy moly! Are those fixed pose hands? Thanks for the pics man! I assume this thing will be showing up on shelves very shortly and MUCH earlier than any of us thought! (heh damn the mags don't even have pics of a production version and yet here is one IN store already!~) Quote
Mr March Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Fantastic. The pose leaves much to be desired, but I'm not expecting shop owners to know so much about a specialty item, nor should they really devote much time to displays anyway. Point is, it looks cool and we all want to purchase one I have to say, this new VF-0 really puts that VF-1A behind it to shame. The VF-0 is just so much more pleasing on display, though the design is an improvement on an already tried and true classic mecha. Quote
valkyrie312 Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Nice - now I just need to be able to afford one! Quote
mechatek Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Thanks for the pics SaveRobotech What a "scoop-da"! Now only if Kaiyodo was worldwide, we could all drool at it in person. Quote
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 The semi gloss finish has got me excited. This will fit in with my yamatos AND bandais just fine! In regards to the 1/48 comparison, welp, look how far toy companies can progress in 3 years! saverobotech, do you think the store owner will be kind enough to take that sucker out the case and let you handle/photograph it? Quote
doodler7 Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 nice pics SaveRobotech, the 1/60 vf-0s is suppose to be taller than the 1/48 correct, by about 2 cm? can you guys tell/confirm? Quote
eming Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Oh man!... That is soo awesome... Seems like it might be out sooner then expected. let's see: Dec we had VF-1S(4th) and FP re-issues Jan we had the VF-1S Hikaru(2nd) and FP re-issues Feb to Mar we have the VF-1A Hikaru(3rd), VF-1S(5th) and FP re-issues Apr is the VF-0S Then rumours of another LV and Stealth 1/48 after that. Pls correct me if I am wrong. Wow!... I feel as if I am working purely to pay Yamato's office rent.... Quote
wolfx Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Awww...loose airbrake with no holes. This was probably a prototype destined for people like Graham if he still had connections with Yamato. Thanks for the photos, saveRobotech. Quote
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 I duno guys, when stuff like this pops into akhibara, usually it ends up on shelves within weeks later. Remember the GPS-1? That came out not too long after akhibara had a display up. My guess? We will see this thing on shelves in japan BEFORE march. if not within 2 weeks. Quote
Graham Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Looks like the back plate is not locked into place also. Graham Quote
UN Spacy Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Thanks for the pics SaveRobotech. Does this mean the Zero is gonna be released earlier than April? SWEEEET! I can't wait. Quote
Graham Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Awww...loose airbrake with no holes. 367170 It's not loose, it's open for maintenance! Graham Quote
Graham Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 The VF-0S toy looks awesome. Blows the VF-1 away in apperance IMO. Graham Quote
eugimon Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 thanks for the scoop! I gotta say I really dig the VF-0 in battroid, it seems much more aggressive than the Vf-1. I am bummed though, I only pre-ordered two of these guys... sob sob. Quote
dafunguy Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Oh yeah! Looks sweet. How come there's "1/48" written in the sale sign, description thingy? Does it say something like this 1/60 VF-0S is about the the same size as the 1/48? Can anyone translate? Quote
Graham Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Nah, it says the 1/60 VF-0S is so tough it eats the 1/48s for breakfast.... :D Graham Quote
izzyfcuk Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Woo...that 1/60 looks too nice.....i almost wet myself..lolz Quote
Die, Alien Scum! Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Nice pics. I'm hoping that they purposely displayed it with the airbrake open, to show it is functional, as with the 1/48 VF-1. Of course, it's probably just floppy, LOL! Too bad about the fake holes in it, though. Quote
DatterBoy Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 It does look like a kit bashed 1/48, doesn't it... Too bad the airbrake doesn't have the holes drilled in, gonna have to mod that sucker up. Quote
eugimon Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Actually no, it doesn't look like a kit bash to me... the MPC veritech, that looks like a kitbash. Quote
Renato Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Nice find. The little note written there says that even at 1/60 scale the volume of the 0S is comparable to the 1/48 VF-1. It also mentions the inclusion of an attachment for compatibility with a display stand, and predicts a fast sell-out, "So preorder now!!" Quote
myk Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 The VF-0S toy looks awesome. Blows the VF-1 away in apperance IMO.Graham 367184 Copy that. Imagine a Low Viz VF-0? Quote

Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 Wouldn't Shin's VF-0A look similar to a low viz? I like how it will be compatible with the display stand they release, saves some of yo0u folks some money. Wait, Renato did it say the previous display stand or all new one? I am hoping existing. Godzilla Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 I am glad I preordered 4 but still I love the VF-1. I prefer the VF-1 over the VF-0. Quote
kensei Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 This will do us until a whole new design comes out. Yamato knows that we hunger for FAST Packs, Ghosts and GBP armour with these. Expect them at an online store near you in the nearby future. Quote
buddhafabio Posted February 6, 2006 Posted February 6, 2006 I did not preorder but building up funds to get this and other items. i can still get one before june right? Quote
