Vermillion21 Posted August 16, 2006 Posted August 16, 2006 Sorry to hear your enthusiasm is gone Try to keep the Garland to display it in maneuver slave mode!!! Ditto. Quote

VF-19 Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 I got my replacment part from Yamato. They sent me the whole right arm. Something I wasn't expecting... But, at least, my shoulders aren't cracked anymore! Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Does the replacement part look any different from the original ones? Like different plastic or something? Quote
VF-19 Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Does the replacement part look any different from the original ones? Like different plastic or something? 427332 Exactly like the original. Minus the cracked shoulder, of course. Quote
Ginrai Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 I wonder why they made me send the entire Garland and sent me a whole new one when they just sent you the arm? Quote
Vermillion21 Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 Good to hear that you guys are getting your replacement parts. Quote
Fort Max Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 I wonder why they made me send the entire Garland and sent me a whole new one when they just sent you the arm? 427365 Maybe because they're dealing with it on a case by case basis and he got a different persons solution? Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted August 23, 2006 Posted August 23, 2006 Some pics of my Garland. Hope you all enjoy them Quote
Vermillion21 Posted August 24, 2006 Posted August 24, 2006 Nice pics mate - thanks for sharing. Quote
rnurmin Posted September 15, 2006 Posted September 15, 2006 Does anyone know if there is a second release of this toy to fix the issues? Quote
Rodrigold Posted October 5, 2006 Posted October 5, 2006 Does anyone know if there is a second release of this toy to fix the issues? Im just wait the reissue for buy it:( Quote
EXO Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 It turns out I really like this toy! It's so awesome. Nice, simple design. I havent broken any pieces and I've been messing with it for 2 days now. Great size and articulation. A little plasticky, but since it is a toy I guess that would be forgiveable. I thought it was going to be another Escaflowne debacle. Quote
Fred_Scuttle Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 Im just wait the reissue for buy it:( Would anyone know if the ones on ROBOTECH.COM are 1st issue ones with problems? Any word on a second batch? Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Again there's this collectors giftset, that includes a metallic red Garland along with the movie, CD, artbook and whatnot. I'm not sure if this version is limited, improved, or if it has been released already, but I'm afraid we'll have to wait for this two runs to sold out before we see a second "standard" run of the red Garland. konimon Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 Yacolog reported something I've been waiting for... Yamato Wonder Festival 2007 (Aug 12th) list: 1/15 Garland Factory Color (October Release) 1/15 Proto Garland!!!! (December Release) Motoslave (December Release) I didn't get Garland yet, but I might this December. Quote
Ignacio Ocamica Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 Yes!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks for the head ups konimon. Quote
DestroidDefender Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 Yacolog reported something I've been waiting for... Yamato Wonder Festival 2007 (Aug 12th) list: 1/15 Garland Factory Color (October Release) 1/15 Proto Garland!!!! (December Release) Motoslave (December Release) I didn't get Garland yet, but I might this December. Okay. Somebody clue me in. I thought the Red MZ23 Part 1 Garland WAS the Prototype Garland. If they were going to do more variants they should do the military jet version w/o wheels. Quote
Ginrai Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 (edited) Nope. The red and blue one from Part 2 is the GR-XX Proto-Garland, the red and white one in part 1 is just the regular Garland (uh... GR-01 I think?) It's slightly different, mostly in that the Proto-Garland is more detailed and has funny wires hanging out everywhere. Edited July 31, 2007 by Ginrai Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 (edited) How's the Factory Color like? Edit: I'll ge the Proto. I just hgope Yamato get the front wheel shape right this time, and for Pete's sake make a decent pilot figure! Edited July 31, 2007 by Lonely Soldier Boy Quote
ShadowerV2 Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 http://www.hlj.com/product/ATS82103 Garland http://www.hlj.com/product/ATS82104 Proto Garland Quote
oshan Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 >Again there's this collectors giftset, that includes a metallic red Garland along with the movie, CD, artbook and whatnot The artbook SUCKS! Don't anyone waste your time! Quote

I just hgope Yamato get the front wheel shape right this time, and for Pete's sake make a decent pilot figure! What? And miss out on an opportunity to sell offer you a nicer aftermarket figure? Quote
Vermillion21 Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 After all the arm breakage issues, is anyone out there still buying this? Did Yamato ever do a 2nd release with better QC? Quote
Chet Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Anybody bought the Military Colored Garland or found reviews of it? Quote
glane21 Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 I'll be getting the Proto-Garland for sure as I love the design and was hoping they'd do it. I got the military colored Garland set on sale at Image anime. It has the upgraded shoulders and looks pretty nice actually. I especially like the military pilot figure and the Yui figures. Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 (edited) I ordered the military version, but is sittin' at Twinmoons waiting for my YF-19 FBP to arrive and be shipped togheter. Just like with the VF-0, I seriously doubt Yamato made new POM shoulders for this release: I ordered the replacement shoulders for my red Garland and despite some minor differences (like the single lock mechanism), the part seem to be made from the same brittle plastic as the original. What? And miss out on an opportunity to sell offer you a nicer aftermarket figure? I'll get an aftermarket figure in a second if they just made one. I don't get it, Yamato did and amazing job with Chirico Cuvie and know they behave like if they've never made a action figure before. Maybe we could get Kaiyodo to make some nice Revoltech ones Edited August 1, 2007 by Lonely Soldier Boy Quote
Scream Man Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 actually, form ewhat i hear the new Garland has the new shoulders. Quote
mpchi Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 No thanks. One Garland is enough for me, be it having better shoulders or not. Glad I got mine fixed. But who knows how long it will last... Quote
bluecyclone Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 My red one is sitting on my shelf in bike mode, I'm to afraid to transform it. Yamato replaced my first one and I'm not taking any chances with this one, pretty sad actually. Although I don't play with my stuff so it's no big deal I guess, just the thought of it though. Quote
Fort Max Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Oh sweet, more Garlands, Proto Garland is pretty cool looking and I'll probably bite but I'd pre-order in a heart beat if they offered a transforming E=X Garland, with all it's arm gimmicks replicated, natch. Quote
Lonely Soldier Boy Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 I bet they will eventually. The transformation on all three Garlands is the same, so why not? Quote
Fort Max Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 E=X would be more complicated though and the arm weapons would be a challenge given that Yamato likes to store the fists in them. I can't remember exactly how the wepaons go (not got my artimic design works book to hand), I think it's pop up guns in the top half and slide out knives in the bottom half. It's unfair to Yamato really but if it didn't have those I would probably be dissapointed enough to not bother with it. Quote
ShadowerV2 Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 The knives I'm not so worried about. But the E=X must have the pop up missile launchers. That's the important bit. As for the knives, just make them accessories. As long as the knives and weapons are all there I'm happy. Quote
