Fortress_Maximus Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Ditto. Is Nick onboard with this one or is this going to be a separate event? Quote
Ali Sama Posted January 2, 2006 Author Posted January 2, 2006 He no longer has access to the apartment. Quote

EXO Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Also, if you guys don't know, we're planning a poker tournament for the night before. There'll Macross toys as prizes and extra proceeds will go to the Con's expenses. Quote
robokochan Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Man I don't know how to play poker at all. Hey Exo could you teach me...? Quote
robokochan Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Will do Nick. By the way when will it be? I will be back in the States no later than May of this year. Also I most likely will be able to bring all kinds of Macross goodies.... Rob Quote
EXO Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Man I don't know how to play poker at all. Hey Exo could you teach me...? 356744[/snapback] Honestly, we all just started 4 months back. We just finished up our 16th weekly game about an hour ago. Texas Hold'em is what we play. We use to play online for fun, so if anyone wants to start that up again, that'd be great. But it's nothing like when you play in person... it's so much more. Quote
F360° Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 I can just see it now, someone will leave with just their black boxers with the Macross kite logo in the center.... Quote
Mechamaniac Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 I'm definitely coming again this year. On the request end of things, if you guys could plan it sometime around SDCC, or AX or something else that would rock. I'd love to have more than one reason to head out to Cali again. (Other than F&S of course) Quote
Solscud007 Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 (edited) Yeah i would love to have it around that time too. I think we should plan it around Samurai M's schedule. i would love to have him come to this. So Rob it is up to you. AX is around July 4th and Comic con is July 20-23 Edited January 2, 2006 by Solscud007 Quote
VALKYRIE-EXCHANGE.COM Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 Can we make sure the event doesn't fall on any holidays this year....Makes it easier for everyone to go. Quote
EXO Posted January 2, 2006 Posted January 2, 2006 (edited) Rob how does the weekend before SDCC sound? That would be the weekend of July 14 and 15, then we can go down to San Diego on Wednesday... preview night! Kevin, July 14 is Bastille day... lol. Edited January 2, 2006 by >EXO< Quote

Skullsixx Posted January 3, 2006 Posted January 3, 2006 Uhh.... where is this located? I did not see the location mentioned. I know I'll definitely be at San Diego Comic Con this year. Quote
robokochan Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 so in May where will you be? California? Are you bring your family back to the states too? In May I will be in Wyoming. That is where my family are currently living, so it is the safest place for me to go to first. Still trying to decide where my permanent residence will be. yep the whole clan is coming. Rob Quote
myk Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 Wyoming...Doesn't sound like the weather is very hospitable there. I'd recommend San Diego, but the median price for a reasonably sized home here is about $5,500,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,003.87.... Quote
Fortress_Maximus Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 (edited) Well in SF its about $680,000 and that is for a really CRAP CRAP CRAPTACULAR house that needs lots of work and is in a bad area too. Something in a relatively desirable area runs $800,000.+ Edited January 4, 2006 by Fortress_Maximus Quote
Mechamaniac Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 (edited) Yeah, I was really surprised when I came out last year for MWCon, and heard a snippet on the local news that the median house price in Orange County had reached $600 grand. Hell, I live on the opposite coast, and houses are at least that expensive around here. And that's for somebody else's already lived in stuff. Anything new, and you're looking at at least $750K to start. Edited January 4, 2006 by Mechamaniac Quote
Fortress_Maximus Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 (edited) Exactly, it is sad as hell... a part of me really wants a bloody 8.0 quake to hit and another doesn't. Sigh. But back on topic, so SM... what areas are you seriously considering relocating to? Edited January 4, 2006 by Fortress_Maximus Quote
Knight26 Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 Hey Rob, AZ would be good, think about Tucson and whenever I go home to visit the family I will swing by the shop, lol. Or if you are interested in SoCal consider the Palmdale/Lancaster Area, it is one of the more reasonably priced areas left in SoCal, I am looking at buying a house this spring in Rosamond for around 300k, which of course is significantly limiting my macross spending right now, lol. Hey doesn't Kevin (valk Exchange) operate out of Santa Clarita, you guys could open a shop together, lol. Quote
Fortress_Maximus Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 Unfortunately Kevin is closing his shop shortly, he made an announcement about this recently. Quote
orguss01 Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 (edited) Pics look good, nice and open. Dont have to wondre whats going on in the other rooms.. easier to make anouncements..people wont miss things...looks good.. This year should be sweet........ I think we should at least make donations since there is a reserve fee..[ prepares to dodge small objects flying at high velocities] Edited January 5, 2006 by orguss01 Quote
