valkyrie312 Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 That GBP is just gorgeous! I will be ordering one shortly! Quote
kensei Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 A full repaint of a Max and Millia wouild be cool too. BUt I think in the pictures about that the Millia valk is more suited to the GBP than Hikaru Quote
Kurt Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 If anyone is serious about a repaint let me know. I can quote you a price. Quote
Graham Posted December 31, 2005 Posted December 31, 2005 Is the back pack boosters front nozzle detachable from the booster much like the fastpack and if so can you attach a regular fast pack version on it? 356348 Yes, the front part of the GBP-1S's back pack booster is detachable. No, you cannot attach a regular FAST Pack version on it. Graham Quote

1994cobra Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 (edited) That thing is unbelievable.. Man how lucky are we as Macross collectors to get something like this..? Does anyone know if they are going to offer this armor in a "set" with a 1J? Edited January 5, 2006 by 1994cobra Quote
wm cheng Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 OMG!! Just a little Christmasing and New Years frivolities with the family and I miss this thread!! Wow, when was this available?! Where would be the best place (cheapest) to get both the GBP & a VF-J set? Amazing... thanks so much for the pictures! Quote

Amazing... thanks so much for the pictures! 357757 WM, The question is NOT, "...when was this available?!", BUT when will you customize this!!! The GBP was available late December 2005 and there is no giftset, to date. You still have to buy both the valk and the armour seperately. Quote
kensei Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Just hot off the production line WM. Get yours now. Quote
vlenhoff Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 I'm still waiting for mine! Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggghhhhhhh!!!! Quote

Daysleeper Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Simply awesome. I'm very much considering repainting the one I just purchased over Ebay to fit with Milia's red paintscheme, as suggested by some people here. Particularly since I've already stolen her FAST pack, leaving her rather.. bare. Quote
Fortress_Maximus Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Just ordered mine. Better late than never. Quote
max Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 These pics convinced me to order a pair of armor not that I needed much convincing. Thanks for going to the trouble. Quote
Fortress_Maximus Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Oh you know you love getting another one! Its just your wallet that hates you for it! Quote
connor99 Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 (edited) i would like to see urban camo paint job on the armor with a low viz valk 356445 Since we're on the topic of schemes for the recently released 1/48 GBP, it would be nice to see a non-weathered low-vis with the standard colors for the GBP. I think the colors would match really well and hopefully someone would wanna post a pic of this sometime soon. If I only had a low-vis and a GBP right now . Edited January 6, 2006 by connor99 Quote
wm cheng Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Thanks for the great pictures Hayao - I can see the great efforts you took to put all that amazing stenciling stickers on, it looks great!! All you need is a little dark wash to pick out the recessed details and a light dry brushing with a little chipping here and there to pick up the highlights and you've got an amazing looking toy (no need for an entire re-paint!) - possibly a flat coat over the entire armoured pieces to tie the stickers into the background a bit. I love how the missles are painted and the little nozzles behind the foot areas are even done in a dull red. I can't believe Yamato didn't tempo print the stencils after all this time (see the Gundam FIX figurations) - well Anasazi... you've got your work cut out for you to get us some water slide decals for this beauty - and I volunteer to be your first ginuea pig customer!! Matt Random Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Mine arrived yesterday. It is a very nice item that puts the 1/60 version to shame, which I was always pretty happy with. The fact that the missiles are all seperate pieces are a big reason why it looks so nice. Quote
1/1 LowViz Lurker Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 I wish the missile pods had a spring mechanism inside them that when you press a button all the missiles shoot out at once. Just joking! Quote
Osean Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 I wish the missile pods had a spring mechanism inside them that when you press a button all the missiles shoot out at once. Just joking! 358088 And have all the flying missles poke everyone in the eye Quote
1/1 LowViz Lurker Posted January 7, 2006 Posted January 7, 2006 What they could do is have a little string tied on them to not lose them. So when you launch them all there is a button to retract them back to thier place like a tape measure Maybe for the 40th anniversary when yamatos are the chunky munky of the future and there is better versions of the vf1... PC Valkyrie Posted January 8, 2006 Posted January 8, 2006 Great pics. Haven't posted here in a long time.... Anyways, I pre-ordered the GBP armour from HLJ quite a few months ago. I still haven't got an email notice that they are billing me or shipping it to me. Anybody else in the same situation?? Or should I be concerned and contact HLJ? Quote
