1/1 LowViz Lurker Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 (edited) Will we see a G1 Jetfire by any chance?... If you look closely at prime's face he seems really pissed off. Kind of menacing looking like the gundams in stardust memory. Everytime I look at it I think this is an evil prime. Edited December 23, 2005 by 1/1 LowViz Lurker Quote
areaseven Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Wasn't this reported on the Transformers Thread 2 a couple of months ago? Quote
zeo-mare Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 yea it was mentioned a litle bit ago, the figure does look awesome however, it is definetly on my list of things to buy. chris Quote
NERV Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 looks good but id also have to see some truck mode pics, and did kawamori design the circumsized smoke stacks? Quote
Greyryder Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 (edited) I've seen the truck mode. It's easily as bad as the Robot Masters version. The mutant windshield that showed up with 20th Anny Prime has grown to even worse proportions, and the front wheels look to be jammed too far forward in the wheel wells. Plus, there's a gaping hole in the sides of the cab. EDIT: Followed the link in ComicKaze's post. The truck mode looks even worse than in the last picks I saw. Poor Prime Edited December 23, 2005 by Greyryder Quote
zeo-mare Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 i intend to keep mine in mech mode so it is no problem at all. chris Quote
mikeszekely Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 (edited) I don't think the truck looks that bad. It's not like this is some binaltech redesign that's supposed to look amazing in vehicle mode and passable in robot mode... it's supposed to look bad-ass in robot mode, and passable in vehicle mode. The windshield does gotta go, though. Is that really a Kawamori design? The lineart is fantastic. I'd love to see his takes on more of the classic G1 characters. DatterBoy Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 This thing would kick some serious arse if they narrowed out Prime's Obliques like in the lineart. It would give him the more trim and athletic look. I wonder if the width there was a necessity... Quote
aarbain Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 In terms of scale, would it be the same as the 20th Aniversary Prime? Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Please next time if any of has new TF news, please put in the TF theard. Yes I preordered mine, I wish Kawamori would design next Galvatron. Quote

zeo-mare Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 In terms of scale, would it be the same as the 20th Aniversary Prime? 354598 no in fact it is quite small, it will most likely be diecast metal, it will be probably no taller then a Gundam Fix figure, i am pretty certain Image Anime and Big Bad Toy Store are taking pre-orders Quote

mikeszekely Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 Please next time if any of has new TF news, please put in the TF theard. Frankly, I'm glad it was posted here. The problem with all these damn "Super Threads" is that suddenly everyone expects anything remotely related to the subject to be in there. But 99% of the TF thread is toy-related, and I gave up collecting toys years ago, so just like I never visit the Toys and Models section of the boards, I stopped checking the TF thread. If news of a Kawamori-designed Prime (which I'm more interested in the lineart than the toy) had been confined to the TF thread, I'd have missed it. Quote
1/1 LowViz Lurker Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 I still say prime looks evil. Look at the eyes. Megatron must have really pissed him off. Quote

Knight26 Posted December 26, 2005 Posted December 26, 2005 SO is he designing any other transformers? Personnally I like this rendition of prime, of course I liked his Gundams in 0083 more then any other too. Quote

zeo-mare Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 Try Image Anime and Big Bad Toystore, I believe both are still taking preorders. even though both are in the USA they get there import orders very quickly only like a week or so after Hobby Link Japan. They are both reliable and have fast and inexpenisve shipping. chris Quote
Fortress_Maximus Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 Hm, anyone know why this isn't the same size as the G1 Prime? Quote
Fort Max Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 Hm, anyone know why this isn't the same size as the G1 Prime? 357370 Beacuse the current trend is for small but high quality figures ala HCM Pro's. Or, where Bandai goes Takara is sure to follow. Quote

MrDisco Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 Has anyone dealt with this store before? The pricing (and shipping) seem pretty good: http://www.tfsource.com/Reissues/THS02-Con...HX02-Convoy.htm Quote

MrDisco Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 i'm going to skip pepsi prime..looks kind of silly to me. just need to know if this is a good store and i'll place an order for macross prime (image and BBTS were a bit more expensive, particularly with shipping) Quote
Skull Leader Posted January 4, 2006 Posted January 4, 2006 coolness! I'll probably be ordering one of these.. (a S.K. design-take on Megatron would be kickass... as would Shockwave..) Quote
UN Spacy Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 They should let Kawamori remake each of the G1 figures. I'd gladly sell all my Alternators and Binaltechs for that. Quote
Ivan Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Pictures of the prototype. Wow, the figure is tiny... http://www.tfans.com/talk/index.php?showtopic=40704 Quote
