khyronic Posted December 11, 2005 Posted December 11, 2005 Just curious if anyone knows why the 2 shows Outlaw Star and Angel Links interwove characters and places. I know the 2 shows were done by the same company but was there anything more to it? Were they written by the same people? Did the crossover extend into their respective comics/manga? Further to that, are they any other anime shows that literally acknowledged another shows characters and/or "universe", so to speak? Tanx Quote
Hikuro Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 personally I think animation groups and writers who worked on a previous story will put in lil pieces of past shows for extras. For instance, there's an episode of Transformers Victory where you see R2D2 and C3PO on an escalator while one of the transformers and the main human character walk around this giant space base. Or in Macross we see Orguss mecha once in a while. Quote
ChrisG Posted December 12, 2005 Posted December 12, 2005 Angel Links is based in the Outlaw Star universe. It's a security company that briefly appears in an Outlaw Star episode. IMO, Angel Links is a piece of crap that is nowhere near as funny or well-produced as Outlaw Star. It doesn't feature any of the qualities which made OS great. Quote
