Guest sh002 Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 he's amazing. he puts the transformers movie designs to shame. Quote
Mr March Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Is it true that he designed Diaclone Convoy? I know in the book Shoji Kawamori Design Works one of his Diaclone drawings is included. Hwever, I know nothing of that series so I can't tell you exactly what it is. I can scan it for you later today and post it up if you like? Quote

I would love to see the origins of the Battle Convoy. Quote
eugimon Posted August 20, 2007 Posted August 20, 2007 Well, according to the fine folks at zinc panic, shoji is not the designer for convoy: http://www.zincpanic.com/toy/16442.html Quote

mojacko Posted August 21, 2007 Posted August 21, 2007 cool....Tosho Daimos....wonder if it has any relation with the super robot Daimos!!! Quote
VFTF1 Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 PS : THS-2 Convoy by Kawamori ?! And Masterpiece Starscream as well. VFTF1 Quote
eugimon Posted August 22, 2007 Posted August 22, 2007 shoji didn't really design the MP SS, he made some last minute changes to the design (which is a topic of great debate and teeth gnashing around here) but the bulk of the work was done by other folk at takara, as far as I know. Quote
Reïvaj Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 What's the mecha in the background? A VF-14, a Varauta mecha? It looks cool and alien. Quote
VF5SS Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 You're on the mark It's this guy http://www.mahq.net/mecha/macross/aircavalry/fz-109g.htm Quote
Ghost Train Posted July 9, 2012 Posted July 9, 2012 Looking at recent photographs, I can't believe the man is in his early 50's. I attribute it to pursuing his passion (designing mechs, trolling, etc) and enjoying his everyday work! Quote
VF-18S Hornet Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Don't forget he designed Starscream too Quote
frothymug Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 ...and Optimus Prime, if I'm not mistaken... oh, and the XGP15A-2 Quote
the_foul_fowl Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Kawamori also designed the GP-01 from Gundam 0083 Stardust Memory, though personally I'm not that fond of the design. The Core Fighter is one of the better looking ones though. Quote
Capt Hungry Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 I liked the designs from 0083. Did he only do the GP-01? Quote
