Fortress_Maximus Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 Hey kensei, how could Yamato milk this particular mold? Pardon my ignorance, but there aren't that many variations of the GBP are there? Quote
1 VF-1 2NV Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 That will lok really good on a low-vis! 354850 Agreed. Quote
UN Spacy Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 Is it too much to ask for a Thunder Hammer variation? Quote
Fortress_Maximus Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005  Didn't we see one of those in some unofficial pics awhile back? Or was that just a fanmade version? Quote
DatterBoy Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 You know, if Yamato wanted to milk the mold, I figure all they would have to do is get Big West's sign off on creating paint variations After that, all the completists would go ga ga... Quote
chowyunskinny Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 Enigma GBP ....NICE you guys gotta see this, but i don't know if it's a custom or wathttp://www.sgcollect.com/forums/index.php?...ic=34082&st=210 354830 Quote
zeo-mare Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 that looks incredible, i can now get a idea of the type of customs we may see soon on this site. chris Quote
Graham Posted December 25, 2005 Author Posted December 25, 2005 It's not Yamato milking the mold. It's just a custom paint scheme, not a production item. The pics are from the new February 2006 issue of Dengeki Hobby magazine (just out). I was going to scan and post them after the holidays, but got beaten to the bunch. Oh well, not that I mind as it saves me some time scanning Graham Quote
Auto Pilot Off Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 i smell something limited.... hmmmm Quote
wolfx Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 Nice custom! Can't wait to see what MW-ers would cook up. Quote
Toonz Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 my 1J is crying.....where is my GBP..... Quote
ruskiiVFaussie Posted December 25, 2005 Posted December 25, 2005 looks like i have to buy 2....... Quote
Valk-1S Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 GBP is out in Japan today. Just checked Hobby Search and their status from Pre Order is now changed to Sold out. Quote
1 VF-1 2NV Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 pics from Hobbysearch 355237 oH MY god. That is just awesome . Quote
Die, Alien Scum! Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 Sweet! It does come with the pre-painted joints on the hands! Quote
zeo-mare Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 awesome the box looks good, (probably would be even better if it did not have the pictures of the toy itself on it) and the hands are prepainted, very soon this will be in my collection Quote
Mr March Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 Hehehe, so many juciy pictures...right around the holidays. They know how to rope 'em in Quote
wolfx Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 And hobbysearch is all sold out. Prepare for onslaught of phootos!! w00ts! Quote
valkyrie312 Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 I need to order this thing ASAP! Nice! Quote
vlenhoff Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 I had to get 6 of these Can you spell broke? Also, I had to get a additional 1J to be dressed up for murder, if you know what I mean. I really enjoy me 1J without the FP. I already have a full detailed 1J, and the GBP 1J will be standing next to my naked 1J. BTW, the box look huge I'm going to store those stupid boxes in the atic... Oh well... I'm sooo broke Quote
wolfx Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 The more I see the new box art with every subsequent release, the more I am convinced that the designers are just picking out Adobe Photoshop filters, and cut/pasting the toy pictures on it. This one isn't as bad as the Konig , Max and Millia though. And omg...the hands....look at the "joints". They're painted black! If that's black, i'm sure the missiles are red as well! Whee! Quote
Omni Existence Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 The more I see the new box art with every subsequent release, the more I am convinced that the designers are just picking out Adobe Photoshop filters, and cut/pasting the toy pictures on it. 355255 No offense, but it's not like it's the box you'll be attaching to your VF-1, now is it? Quote

But its true. You'd think they'd do better with the box art. Gone are the days of macross toys with cool boxart. And long time no see, omni. How's it hanging there at philipines? Quote

DatterBoy Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 Yamato's boxes suck @$$... accept it and move on. Quote

UN Spacy Posted December 27, 2005 Posted December 27, 2005 I just wish they'd go back to the old school styrofoam inserts. The Hory Froating Head knows we don't need anymore oversized Yammie boxes these days. Quote
