emajnthis
This takes me back I hope it delivers, Sega hasn't done very much for timeless games in the last decade.
Zor Primus
WOW! Awesome! Afterburner was one of my favorite all time games, ever! Pics looks sweet.
bsu legato
Awesome! I hope they keep the original's style of gameplay, and not try to one-up other flight "sims" like Ace Combat. I just want to shot down endless hordes of enemy fighters. Edited November 8, 2005 by bsu legato

Zor Primus
If Sega is gonna go retro and remake games I cast my vote on Space Harrier. That game pwned, there were none better at the time. Edited November 8, 2005 by Zor Primus
007-vf1
Space Harrier used to be my second favorite after the old atari Star wars. I also loved After burner. I am just a sucker for the 1st person perspective games..
Doktor Gonzo
Wasn't there a recent arcade sequel to Space Harrier? I never saw it in person, but I recall reading about it...

I celebrated by breaking out MAME, firing up Space Harrier, giving myself about a zillion credits, and finally playing the damn thing through to completion. Easily one of the high points of my gaming life to date...
Apollo Leader
If Sega is gonna go retro and remake games I cast my vote on Space Harrier. That game pwned, there were none better at the time. 343319 Is it me, or does that robot/mech on the title screen look like a blatant copy of an MS-09 Dom from Gundam? Black Valkyrie
Space Harrier was the most difficult game I`ve played, only liked the BGM, BTW did any of noticed a VF-1 flying in the later stages. As for Afterburner Climax : TARGETO LOCK-ON MISSILEO HASHA ! Edited November 8, 2005 by Black Valkyrie
Black Valkyrie
BTW anyone who has the Saturn version should keep it, its 60fps and the original arcade 30fps. Edited November 8, 2005 by Black Valkyrie
Zor Primus
I had Afterburner for my Sega Master System... *Missile Lock Beep* FIRE! *Beep* FIRE! *Beep* FIRE! Mom: "Turn that down or I'm gonna get the belt!"

Dual cockpit cab. Never played it, though. Arcade it was in had grotesque pricing rules.
Zor Primus
Planet Harrier...meh...not much from these screens.
JB0
It looked a LOT nicer in person. Those aren't very good photos, IMO. *looks up game details* A Hikaru title. Mmmmm... ... What? I'm a sucker for hardware. Anwyays... runs on the same board as Star Wars Racer, so if you ever saw that one in arcades, you've got an idea of the level Planet Harriers was at. yellowlightman
Given how amazing OutRun 2 was, I have high hopes for Afterburner Climax. Sega still has a lot of talent lef tin it, so hopefully it'll deliver.
Stampeed Valkyrie
Afterburner was hands down my favorite arcade game when I was growing up. I liked it so much I bought an Afterburner II upright. I had a sitdown but I was never able to find the parts I needed to get it working correctly so I sold it. Still amuses me with the cheesy 80's techno, and the topgun screenshots. Rob Given how amazing OutRun 2 was, I have high hopes for Afterburner Climax. Sega still has a lot of talent lef tin it, so hopefully it'll deliver. 343421
