Dobber Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 Thanks Noriko. Yeah, that, Adrian Paul joining the cast, and them going to a Sewer are all I can remember of season 2. Chris Quote
myk Posted November 25, 2005 Posted November 25, 2005 That's right, the series literally went into the sewer.... Quote
myk Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 (edited) One of the problems that the Blackwood scientist team had to deal with was a world of people that didn't believe there were aliens from another planet seeking to conquer the Earth. Wasn't there a world-scale invasion just 30 years or so prior to what was going on? An invasion that almost saw the human population destroyed? I guess people really are that forgetful of things... Noriko Takaya Posted November 29, 2005 Author Posted November 29, 2005 Yeah, that problem had been brought up on numerous occassions during the show, and it was decided that because of the trauma of the war and the countless lives lost, a form of mass amnesia took hold of the populace. Suzanne's uncle, the army general who is in charge of the project stated that he was a lieutenant in 1953 and saw an unbelievable amount of action, but for the life of him could not remember where. Then there were others, like the old timers in one of the early episodes, who remembered fighting one of the machines back in the 30's when the aliens were attempting a recon of Earth. That was covered up by the government by fabricating the Orson Wells "War of the Worlds" radio broadcast. Quote
myk Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 I just finished watching season 1 and I must say that I enjoyed it. If you remember the series and liked it I would say that it's worth picking up, although brace yourself for alot of late 80's sci-fi and acting cheese. It's unfortunate that I'll have to wait for season 2, if it's ever released, to watch the crap hit the fan. Meanwhile, not to give anything away, but I was trying to determine when some of the characters died and I came upon this cute little site:a few sci-fi deaths -It's obviously not complete, and I'm not even too sure if it's accurate, but it was funny reading nonetheless...
