JB0 Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 Who else could play Captain James T. Freaking Kirk and still manage to get type-cast as something else? Quote
eugimon Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 heh... that's right.. man.. that shatner... wait... what? what is he type cast now as? Quote
Radd Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 T.J. Hooker? Heh, actually I thought these days Shatner was typecast as himself. Quote
ComicKaze Posted October 26, 2005 Posted October 26, 2005 At first glance, you'd think he's a genius at getting himself typecasted over and over again. First Kirk, then T.J. Hooker, now Denny Crane. But the reality is he's just playing a lifelong roll as William Shater as everybody and the character is just getting fatter and more indescribible in behavior as we proceed along the story. Quote

Father Jack Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 William Shatner is an incredibly talented man. what brought this on? Quote
JB0 Posted October 28, 2005 Author Posted October 28, 2005 (edited) William Shatner is an incredibly talented man. what brought this on? 340267 The random realization that he was the only Trek castmember to get typecast, and have it NOT be his Trek character. Keith Posted October 28, 2005 Posted October 28, 2005 Have you checked out his recent album (released either early this year, or late last). It's a very interesting listen. Quote

First B.D. Wong, now my dear Excelsior captain. -Al Quote

Then Kirk just hit him and he totally crumpled limply. Quote

Still, Shatner's the man! 340395 Wow! Shatner's a busy man! Here in Houston, he's featured in an ad for the Smith & Hassler law firm. They're quite amusing. The spokesman before Shatner was Robert Vaughn. Takei coming out surprised me but it's cool I suppose. I really wanted that Excelsior show to happen and instead we got Enterprise. Ah would could have been. Remember that episode of Voyager that featured Captain Sulu and the Excelsior? I would imagine the show would have been quite like that, minus She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Mentioned. Hell, you could've had Tim Russ reprising his role as Tuvok. Quote

bsu legato Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Did anyone catch that "How William Shatner invented the world" show on Discovery, last weekend? Not so much about Shatner inventing things, but more to do with scientists drawing inspiration from the various incarnations of Trek. Still, the guy makes a good host. Quote
Guppy Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Go download the song by Lemon Jelly caled "Go".. shatner does cool beat poet lyrics. fantastic song too! Quote
