Installing Macross PS2 on a harddrive

Hi First post here

My question is quite simple:

Did anybody manage to run the game Macross PS2 when the game is installed on the internal harddrive of the console ? (what program used / what settings ? )

I've tried with HDLoader using different compatibility modes, but without success.It starts loading and dies with a black screen.

It won't work. Easier to get swapmagic and a fliptop...

My PS2 is already chipped ( with a Magic V ), so playing the game from the DVD is not an issue. I just wanted to install on the hard drive to avoid loading times.
