jvmacross Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 So it seems the 30th anniversary Macross party has not run out of steam yet....as we approach 2014.....we can now properly celebrate the 30th anniversary of DYRL... With that said...anyone up for 1/55 Bandai Hi-Metal VE-1, VT-1 and VF-1S Strike (Hikaru and all-new Roy!) re-issues with all new Tenjin box art? Quote
EXO Posted October 22, 2013 Posted October 22, 2013 I actually think that a 1/55 toy would be very fitting for the 30th Anniversary scheme since it's been around the longest. Quote
kanata67 Posted August 2, 2014 Author Posted August 2, 2014 monkeys live on!!!! my toddler already threw one at me! Quote
spanner Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 monkeys live on!!!! my toddler already threw one at me! A while back I offered my last remaining 1/55 to my son and his response was.. "errr no thanks" Quote
Valkyrie Magnus Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 I still like my 1/55's but they are no longer the premier display for my Macross toys Quote
xrentonx Posted August 2, 2014 Posted August 2, 2014 Mine died Arms fell off. Tabs on the armor all broke. Parts yellowed. Stickers peeled. To be fair, I played with it a hell of a lot as a kid. Quote
big F Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 A while back I offered my last remaining 1/55 to my son and his response was.. "errr no thanks" Well there's always adoption !! Quote
spanner Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Well there's always adoption !! well if anyone wants it its free to a good home.. taker has to pay postage.. loose no packaging or add on parts.. average condition.. just gotta find which box its packed away in! possible nightmare right there.. aceoftherebellion Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 Hrm... on one hand, free labor to dust the collection... on the other hand, there's probably some sort of laws against it, but I might be willing to take that chance Quote
AcroRay Posted August 4, 2014 Posted August 4, 2014 I would absolutely take that 1/55, Spanner76! Quote
Bub Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Hello, anyone know where to find the old 1/55 collection websites like the "Shirogane's Toylab" or the "Valkyrie Museum"? And other websites that showcase pictures of the 1:55 boxes, manuals and stickers, fighter, gerwalk and battroid modes in front, side and back views etc. Something like the mactama website? Or is there someone who was able to preserve these websites and their pictures? Quote

takatoys Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Valkyrie Factory in the 90s, what a web page that was. It was at the top of my list. Quote
big F Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 (edited) Well once my new workshop is built ( a little way off yet) I intend to get very interested in my 1/55's again, along with all my Macros kits that are all boxed. There will finally be somewhere I can show them off after as well, air tight and UV stable. Edited April 10, 2016 by big F Quote
EXO Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Valkyrie Factory in the 90s, what a web page that was. It was at the top of my list. I miss all the old links... Valkyrie Factory, Rosario Love's Dreamflight, Valkyrie Exchange... because it wasn't just a store, it had a lot of interesting pages. Your cockpit and stickers was the tops too! But now I rather keep my 1/55s pristine and original. The other toys provide all the articulation and extra detail. But they still can't beat the fun of transforming it. Quote
Bub Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 I got more interested about the VF-1S Hikaru Strike ear/antenna differences. Check out this post: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=36166&p=950561 From this thread: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/?showtopic=36166 Quote
Bub Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 Quick Question: Will the 80's Strike Parts of the VF-1S Strike Valkyrie fit the Bandai Reissues and the Origin of Valkyrie toys? Quote
big F Posted May 14, 2016 Posted May 14, 2016 Yes with the exception of the arm armor Yes you need to be a bit brutal with a dremel Quote
lungbarrow Posted June 18, 2016 Posted June 18, 2016 Quick Question: Will the 80's Strike Parts of the VF-1S Strike Valkyrie fit the Bandai Reissues and the Origin of Valkyrie toys? I saw the answer to this for strike parts, but I've got FAST packs with my reissue Max VF-1A. My question is: will the 80s GBP armor fit the Bandai or Origin reissues? Quote
CoreyD Posted June 19, 2016 Posted June 19, 2016 Yes. I have a takatoku gbp set that fits on my bandai vf1j. Quote
