Macross_Fanboy Posted September 28, 2003 Posted September 28, 2003 I don't know if this has been posted before, but, who'd think it'd be great if Metal Gear and Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2 were turned into an OVA series? In Japanese and English dubs, I think it'd work, I love the games, they have all of the elements that a live action movie has. And it'd be easy too since they can get Cam Clarke, David Hayter and the other voice actors from Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2 to work on the OVAs, something about the "How-to-Play" manga in the MGS2 manual made me like reading it a couple of times over. Can we get the OTHER 3 games done, too? (Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, and Metal Gear: Ghost Babel) You know, so people can get a COMPLETE story. Quote
Macross_Fanboy Posted September 28, 2003 Author Posted September 28, 2003 I said Metal Gear as in the whole series, not just one game. Should have placed more emphasis on that though. Quote
Abombz!! Posted September 28, 2003 Posted September 28, 2003 (edited) It wouldn't really be a problem with Solid 2.... all you did was watch watch watch and no play. <_< But thats not such a bad idea. B) Edited September 28, 2003 by Abombz!! Quote
Macross_Fanboy Posted September 28, 2003 Author Posted September 28, 2003 Yeah, it's more of a "spectator game." But I enjoyed it nevertheless since I never played the first MGS, ooh baby, I can't wait till Metal Gear Solid Twin Snakes! Quote
Isamu Atreides 86 Posted September 28, 2003 Posted September 28, 2003 the stories kick ass. an OVA or even a series about Snake and The Philanthropy group hes a part of would be sweet. i don't care, put Raiden in there, too. why not? bring back Gray Fox and Meryl, too. it woud be sweet. Quote
Keith Posted September 28, 2003 Posted September 28, 2003 NO! Snatcher desrves to be an OVA first!! Hell it's already seperated into episodes. Quote
triggerhappytonks Posted September 28, 2003 Posted September 28, 2003 Hey is Metal Gear Solid 3 hero going to be Solid snake or Big boss? or none of those. Quote
Skull Leader Posted September 28, 2003 Posted September 28, 2003 The hero in MG3 will be Big boss in his youthful days. Quote
JB0 Posted September 28, 2003 Posted September 28, 2003 I said Metal Gear as in the whole series, not just one game. Should have placed more emphasis on that though. Ooops. Read that as Metal Gear Solid 1 and Metal Gear Solid 2. My mistake. Quote
myk Posted September 28, 2003 Posted September 28, 2003 Hmm...I don't know. We'd have to get permission from the La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo before we could even consider such a project, and you know how they are about rogue operations.... Quote
Sazabi Posted September 28, 2003 Posted September 28, 2003 Hah! , id like the idea ... and ill never forget when the american colonel ( cant remember his name) says "The La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo" in the game , i always found that "name" funny for some STRANGE reason //Dan.. Quote
bsu legato Posted September 28, 2003 Posted September 28, 2003 Actually, I'm amazed that it hasn't happened already. Then again, given the meticulous nature of Metal Gear's production, an OVA would likely take 4 years to make. Quote
Macross_Fanboy Posted September 29, 2003 Author Posted September 29, 2003 I just remembered this but, I think an MGS or MG movie is being drawn up. One of my friends mentioned it to me one day when he was telling me about what he thought of Substance for PC. And the La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo seemed like a tongue twister, it was hard for me to say it the first time. Quote
