Less than Super Ostrich Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 You guys know more than I do about this stuf... I was just trying to say that I thought $85 was a reasonable price. Quote
fernarias Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 One way to save money is to use the new Urethane Casting Rubber that cost the same but last longer than Silacone Casting Rubber (number of casting per mold). F. Quote
Grayson72 Posted October 17, 2005 Author Posted October 17, 2005 Well guys, Starship modeller has agreed to buy 25 kits from me which means that will guarantee the initial production run. Everyone will need to place a pre-order with them through their site now and will be given a pre-order discount. Due to production costs the original target price of $85 will probably not hold. Stay tuned to see what the new price and the discount will be. Not to worry though it won't be outragious. Quote
Berttt Posted October 17, 2005 Posted October 17, 2005 So whats the word a decal run for those that already have the booster? Quote
honneamise Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Any link where to preorder this thing on the SSM website? I´m not (yet) a member there but I searched the discussion board, news, SSM shop etc. and couldn´t find anything about the booster. Am I too late ? Quote
Less than Super Ostrich Posted November 4, 2005 Posted November 4, 2005 Don't worry, honneamise. We'll get you one. At minimum, I can get one for you from my buddies at SSM and send it to you myself. Quote
Grayson72 Posted November 4, 2005 Author Posted November 4, 2005 Just a quick update, the masters are at the casters and the decals are on their way to my house so this is still so on! Quote
Berttt Posted November 5, 2005 Posted November 5, 2005 Just a quick update, the masters are at the casters and the decals are on their way to my house so this is still so on! 342333 C'mon! I know you said initially that decals were only for the new run, but is this still the case? I have been patient for an answer, and it doesn't take much to tap in a few words that say" "Go away freako we said decals are for the new run only." or "Oh all right we'll make a few extra sets if you just have to have them!" Cheers, Berttt Quote
Viceland Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Go away freako!!... oh, you were talking to Grayson... nevermind... Quote
Grayson72 Posted November 8, 2005 Author Posted November 8, 2005 (edited) Go away freako!!... oh, you were talking to Grayson... nevermind... 343150 LOL, oh and go away freako (just kidding), Decals may be a future project, I've got enough to focus on right now getting these models done. Berttt Posted November 8, 2005 Posted November 8, 2005 Cheers mate, that's all I needed to know Quote
Kylwell Posted November 15, 2005 Posted November 15, 2005 Any link where to preorder this thing on the SSM website? I´m not (yet) a member there but I searched the discussion board, news, SSM shop etc. and couldn´t find anything about the booster. Am I too late ? 342175 1-0 tends to never put something in the store unless he has it in hand. This reduces the "I ordered Blank from you two weeks ago and it hasn't shipped yet!" emails. When he gets it it'll be at the SSM store. As far as the forums go, they get purged if there is no activity after 2 weeks, so I'm guessing it got dumped. Quote
honneamise Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 Thanks for the info, I´ll just check the SSM site more frequently then. Just got a VF-1D-Battroid conversion kit from SSM and they are VERY reliable and fast - great service!! Quote
Grayson72 Posted November 16, 2005 Author Posted November 16, 2005 Yeah they are really great there, btw the casting should be underway soon. I've got all the decals already printed. Quote
Ranger565 Posted December 9, 2005 Posted December 9, 2005 being in New orleans I dont get a chance to keep up with this stuff much. So I keep missing things. I am up for 1 Kit Quote
Grayson72 Posted March 2, 2006 Author Posted March 2, 2006 (edited) FYI to all those that are still interested a first batch of 10 boosters will soon be up on the SSM store site. I'll post again when they're actually available on the site. I've edited the first post in this thread with updated info. Thanks Edited March 2, 2006 by Grayson72 Quote
Sdf-1 Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Um, was this a get-on-the-list thing too? I mean, I thought the list is some old info or something...? And they just will be ordered when ready? Quote
Viceland Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Yeah, these will be selling in the SSM store, no list, just order. Quote
Sdf-1 Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 Ok thanks Viceland, for a moment I was a little confused by Thor's post. Quote
Kylwell Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 It'll show up at the SSM Store when 1-0 has the kits in hand. Quote
Gundamhead Posted March 4, 2006 Posted March 4, 2006 I'm with Bertt, I got two kits already, and it might be nice not to have to scrounge up decals. Max and Millia donchya know. Just a quick update, the masters are at the casters and the decals are on their way to my house so this is still so on! 342333 C'mon! Kylwell Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Naw, 1-0 is going to keep them all to his self. Bastage. I'm sure they'll sow up in teh store any day know. He's been busy with other matters the last couple of days. Quote
Grayson72 Posted March 28, 2006 Author Posted March 28, 2006 Ok here's the link: http://www.starshipmodeler.com/cfstore/ind...&Product_ID=622 Five bucks less than the original and comes with full color printed instructions and water slide decals. Also, the caster figured out a way to cast the engine bells so there wouldn't be a seam running down the side anymore. Quote
onezero Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Hmm...will they be still be sold through SSM? With grayson's permission, I'll keep them in production as long as there is interest Quote
specr0101 Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Onezero, Is there any chance of getting a launch platform to go with the booster? Quote
