Big s Posted September 9, 2016 Posted September 9, 2016 Or maybe if kotobukiya still has anything to do with the license maybe kits from them. They did do the resin kits. Quote
kajnrig Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 ...yeah nope, I'm gonna pretend this doesn't exist for now. Just a fever dream I had once upon a 2017 day. Give it a release date and pricing, then it'll be more than a desert mirage brought on by heat stroke. Quote
VF-Zer0S Posted February 21, 2017 Posted February 21, 2017 From what company?! This is fantastic! Quote

kajnrig Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 (edited) Wait, this is the SHE version? I kind of suspected, but is this a new sculpt, then? Or just a recast of their old old OOOOLD resin kit? (https://hlj.com/product/SHE024) Is this even a release at all and not just pulling up some pics on a boring afternoon? Is it perhaps the 2010 Tamashii x SHE toy that never saw a release (as far as I'm aware)? http://news.toyark.com/2010/10/01/tamashii-nations-x-studio-half-eye-escaflowne-3328 See, this is why I want to ignore it until more info comes in. NOW I'M SUSPICIOUS AS frakk Edited February 22, 2017 by kajnrig Quote
arbit Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 (edited) It looks a bit different than the SHE, with some screws hidden. But I always thought that the SHE and Tamashii were the same version?? Personally, i love my Yamato version, although I know it gets a lot of hate. I think people just misunderstood it, and it was ahead of its time. Mine is tight in both forms, and made of high quality plastic. Classic Yamato quality. People complained it was floppy during transformation: Of course it is. Look at all the valks we have had since. They're a mess during transformation and you need about 3 hands to get them anywhere.  Edited February 23, 2017 by arbit Quote
kajnrig Posted February 22, 2017 Posted February 22, 2017 You might be right. The SHE served as the basis for the Yamato toy, that's about the extent of my knowledge. Though WHICH SHE version is unknown. I thought that SHE made an earlier, mid-90s kit before the 2000s release, and it seems I was right. 1997 Studio Halfeye Escaflownehttps://hlj.com/product/SHE002/Sci 2003 Studio Halfeye Escaflownehttps://hlj.com/product/SHE024/Sci 2003 Yamato Escaflownehttps://hlj.com/product/YMT28002/Act Tamashii x SHE Escaflowne (vaporware?)http://news.toyark.com/2010/10/01/tamashii-nations-x-studio-half-eye-escaflowne-3328 --- And of course there were the non-transformable kits. 1996 Bandai Limited Model Escaflowne injection plastic kit (1/48)https://hlj.com/product/BAN53284/Sci 1997 Kotobukiya Escaflowne resin kit (1/60)https://hlj.com/product/KBYES-1/Sci Quote

F-ZeroOne Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 I have to say, they have captured the noses perfectly. Quote
arbit Posted February 28, 2017 Posted February 28, 2017 (edited) As much as I'd like one, I'll stick to my Yamato. It was USD 20 back in the day. Always planned to tailor make a cape for it. So now is the time. Edited February 28, 2017 by arbit Quote
Lorindor Posted March 2, 2017 Posted March 2, 2017 Yeah, I was excited first, but that's way too pricey for me. That sucks. :/ Quote

Scyla Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 Wotafa reviewed the toy as well a fed days ago: That looks like some crazy engineering to me. Quote
arbit Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 One of my all time favorites. I didnt see it for sale anywhere, but anyway that's a lot of dough. Maybe we get a DX Chogokin one day? Quote
Convectuoso Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 I'm amazed by that transformation mechanism Quote
valhary Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 very overpriced for what you get is almost the same that yamato with a few improvements but smaller Quote
kajnrig Posted December 9, 2017 Posted December 9, 2017 It still seems reasonably sizable, though. Is it a resin toy? Did SHE move to plastic materials? Those parts look like plastic. God, it looks sooo good. I'd change up the size and proportions of some areas if I had one, but man do I want one. It's just such a shame about that price. Quote
arbit Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 Pre-order up Color injected resin mold. Completed version ("partially painted") and kit. I wonder how hard it is to complete the kit. http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-037006&page=top http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=FIGURE-037007&page=top Quote
VF-Zer0S Posted February 11, 2018 Posted February 11, 2018 (edited) It’s up on HLJ as well but man it’s expensive. I’ll wait for sentinel to blow mind when they release their version one year and probably half the cost with more stuff. Edited February 11, 2018 by VF-Zer0S Quote
Big s Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 Saw this on tag hobby. I didn’t find an escaflowne series thread, but I found it interesting. Moderoid from max factory. Quote
VF-Zer0S Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 I hope it transforms but at the very least I hope it’s poseable Quote
Big s Posted May 8, 2019 Posted May 8, 2019 It’s pose able, but I doubt it transforms. It would be a nice surprise if it did Quote
sumyumgoy Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 ohh boy, hope the Scherazade comes next. Quote
kajnrig Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 Yooooo, I didn't catch that my first time through the video. That kit is looking so good. AND they're teasing a Scherazade? Dare I hope for an Alseides, even? Quote
