captain america Posted October 12, 2005 Author Posted October 12, 2005 Ask and ye shall recieve... Here's the parts breakdown. 18 white resin, 2 clear. Sorry about the greenish tinge; that's just from the walls. The parts are indeed white. Quote
captain america Posted October 12, 2005 Author Posted October 12, 2005 Close-up of the canopy. It's relatively clear when I cast without a release-agent, but a bit soft, and needs to be post-cured just like the high-strength polymer. This is the part that's slowing me down the most, as I'm going to be redoing the canopy molds relatively often. However, I WILL post here in this thread the names of those whose orders have shipped. The first salvo will be going out by late next week. Stay tuned. Quote
rnurmin Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Captain America: Sorry if these have been discussed before, but what are the differences on the kit's finishes below: vanilla, clear, pigmented, non pigmented, etc? Thanks, Quote
fulcy Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 pigmented = colored the appropriate orange vanilla = non pigmented = colored a light grey like the 1/48's clear = clear (you can see thru it) for the canopy Quote
captain america Posted October 12, 2005 Author Posted October 12, 2005 Hi Fulcy. Actually, both versions come with a clear canopy; that's simply a must. The difference is actually as follows: -Vanilla kit: canopy and eye lens molded clear; all other parts in white. -Color kit: clear canopy, clear green eyepiece, body parts molded in beige, orange, and brown. Quote
Mechamaniac Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Cap, how does the second seat work with a pilot fig?. Someone pointed out that it looks a little short. Does a pilot fig fit back there?. Quote
EXO Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Cap, make mine the color kit. Just cuz I want the green eyepiece. Quote
Majestic Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Is it possible to get the green eyepiece with the vanilla kit? I'd prefer green tinted, but if not then I can still take clear. Thanks, and awesome work! Quote

It's a relatively easy part to paint, and allows for different color variations for those who may want to customize their 1D beyone the regular green. Quote
captain america Posted October 12, 2005 Author Posted October 12, 2005 Update. I'm running low on TASK (high-strength polymer, which means there will be a delay of about 2 weeks in production. I think I may have enough to fill current paid orders, but as a word of caution, things will be going slowly for a while. Quote
do not disturb Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 just to be fair, i think you should go in order in which people paid. mind you, i'm only saying this cause i was like the 2nd guy to pay. Quote
Knight26 Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 I just sent in my payment cap'n-A but my paypal e-mail is different then the one you e-mailed me at, oops. Quote
Mechamaniac Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Yeah, me too. Definitely want the color eyepiece. Quote
ruskiiVFaussie Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 (edited) Hmmmmmmmmmmm, green or clear eye piece. *holds up 1D skull* umm u know i reckon the clear piece would actually look pretty cool! Plus if i ever wanted to paint mine it'd be red, and not green. I'm weird. Edited October 13, 2005 by ruskiiVFaussie Quote
Sephiroth Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Damn, I received your e-mail but I have to wait until I get paid on Friday (14 Oct 05) to send the Paypal payment. I would like to change my order from the vanilla set to the color kit if it's not too much trouble. I am in no big hurry to receive the kit so the delay does not bother me as long as I know you can reserve a kit for me. I will still send the payment on Friday regardless if I end up having to wait for the kit. Thanks for this great offer! Quote
aaajin Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Sent you an email. I may not be able to pay you this week...so I dont mind if you push me a few names back to your 2nd run (when you get your supplies) aaajin Quote
ruskiiVFaussie Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 Cap, how does the second seat work with a pilot fig?. Someone pointed out that it looks a little short. Does a pilot fig fit back there?. Yeah all good with passenger Cap? And EXO where's my Minmay? Quote
Mechamaniac Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 Something else I just thought of.... Some people will be using non 1J's for the conversion. If someone uses a first generation valkyrie, the chairs will be different. Any chance of getting two seats with the kit? Quote

Does a pilot fig fit back there?. Yeah all good with passenger Cap? And EXO where's my Minmay? 336195[/snapback] The rear seat size is nearly identical to that of the front, with some slight modification to the bottom, as there's still a screw collar in the footwell( a vestige from the 1J). A pilot figure should fit without too many problems. If anything, the backseater's feet may need to be trimmed a tad. Quote
hirohawa Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 Payment sent for two kits. Will arrange shipping with Exo. Quote
ruskiiVFaussie Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 If anything, the backseater's feet may need to be trimmed a tad. ..... lol Well Minmay is only shortstuff anyways! EXO?? Quote
