Godzilla Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 I dont think I need to get that much. I am thinking maybe 4. GF will be getting on my case. Though I need to watch M0. Quote
UN Spacy Posted August 29, 2005 Posted August 29, 2005 So far only one.....but I'm starting to love this lineup so much I'll probably get EACH variant. I've NEVER done that for any Macross toy. Quote
fansubs2000 Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 I'll start off with one. I wouldn't put it past me to get another one later on when someone here at MW sells one it at a discount price in an attempt to get some quick cash. Quote
bigkid24 Posted August 30, 2005 Posted August 30, 2005 Probably 1 for now but we'll see what happens when it comes out. Quote
valk1j Posted September 1, 2005 Posted September 1, 2005 Definately getting one, but if a VF-0D or SV-51 come out ..... Quote
Godzilla Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Definately getting one, but if a VF-0D or SV-51 come out ..... 324910 Oh hell... if the SV-51 comes out, I am soooo screwed. Quote
Black Valkyrie Posted September 3, 2005 Posted September 3, 2005 Just one only if they release a VF-0A CF. Quote
Skull-1 Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 Probably zero. The VF-1 is my first love so I can't imagine anything better... Have to see the finalized product to decide. The VF-0 looks gangly and awkward to me. It has some advanced features but these would have been better implmented in the VF-1 IMHO. And to think they have a carrier fighter with main gear doors like that still makes me chuckle. Those things would get smashed on the first trap. Quote
eugimon Posted September 4, 2005 Posted September 4, 2005 they're overtechnology gear doors... overtechnology. Quote
Desram Posted September 5, 2005 Posted September 5, 2005 Where exactly do you all buy these new releases? I've only bought off ebay.. Is there anyway to "officially" buy one? Quote
kensei Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 See my sig for the stores. There the ones I and many other people had no trouble with. Quote
TheFrenchOne Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Only one ... but as i really prefer the color scheme of VF-0 A a custom is possible so may be 2 after all. Quote
valkyrie312 Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 I hope they will put out the rest of the Mac Zero valks, as I have just seen the anime and it was pretty interesting. (Kind of hard to understand, but interesting noentheless). Quote
Renato Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 I'll get the S and the D if it comes out. I really just want an SV-51, though. Quote

Is there anyway to "officially" buy one? 326037 You can purchase them online at a number of different places, all of whom supply official products. Websites like Valkyrie Exchange and Hobby Link Japan are just two examples of legitimate dealers who have been online for years. Quote
Beltane70 Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 Only 1 for me since they tend to be fairly expensive. Quote

I've got confidence that they won't screw up the SV-51. But do you realize that a 1/60 SV-51 is going to be huge. I've got the Hasegawa 1/72 SV-51 and VF-0S and the SV-51 absolutely dwarfs the VF-0. Graham 328932 In my view, if they can pull off the Koenig with minimal complaints, then I can trust them with a 51. Price-wise, though... Nnnng... I really DID NOT like the news of just the 1/48 GBP parts costing more than an actual Valkyrie, and thus I am not looking forward to the price announcement of the Zero... let alone a 51. Quote
1/1 LowViz Lurker Posted September 16, 2005 Posted September 16, 2005 (edited) I wonder if they'll just lessen the scale for practical reasons? (like they constantly change the size of hands to suit the overall look of the toy, disregarding proportions for that instnace) Does it really matter that everything in the series is exact in scale? If they were to release an octos or something I wouldn't care too much if it matched the size of every other toy to do with macross zero. Edited September 16, 2005 by 1/1 LowViz Lurker Quote

doodler7 Posted September 18, 2005 Posted September 18, 2005 Just browsing through a Hobby Japan magazine, September Issue and I see numbers in the article for the 1/60 VF-0S to be 33 cm in battroid mode. Damn, that's tall...close to 2.5" inches taller than the 1/48! Can someone else confirm? Damn, imagine the SV-51! Graham, how much longer is the 1/72 SV-51 compared to the VF-0S? Quote

twich Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 I would hope that they would keep the SV-51 in scale with the VF-0S, should they decide to make a SV-51.....which I would hope that they would, I am sure that the thing would be tight and many people would go bonkers over it.....but that would come at a (probably) steep price, which I would be willing to pay in a heart beat for a chance to own a VF-0S and a SV-51 in scale with one another in perfect transformation!!! 1/1 LowViz Lurker Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 I wonder how the extendable head gimmick would look in toy form? Quote
LORD KUNGFU Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 I would buy a thousand of them. But I dont have that much money today, so I will buy one. Quote
Graham Posted September 21, 2005 Posted September 21, 2005 Just browsing through a Hobby Japan magazine, September Issue and I see numbers in the article for the 1/60 VF-0S to be 33 cm in battroid mode. Damn, that's tall...close to 2.5" inches taller than the 1/48! IIRC, I thought 33cm was the length given for the figher mode of the 1/60 VF-0S, not the height of the battroid mode. Anyway, whether it's fighter or battroid, 33cm is still bigger than the 1/48 VF-1. Graham, how much longer is the 1/72 SV-51 compared to the VF-0S? I'm not at home now so can't measure my Hasegawa kits, but the Macross Compendium gives the full size measurements of the VF-0 and SV-51 as follows (VF-1 length thrown in for comparison). VF-0 length in fighter mode = 18.69 m SV-51 length in fighter mode = 22.77 m VF-1 length in fighter mode = 14.23 m, So we can see that the SV-51 is slightly more than 4 meters longer than the VF-0 and a whopping 8.5 meters longer than the VF-1. UN Spacy Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Sorry to bump but now that we've seen pics of the final product are you sticking to your intial choice? Quote
kensei Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Definitely sticking to my decision. What a beauty! Quote
1/1 LowViz Lurker Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Yes. But it would be cool if like some guy bought one, hated it, and sold it to me for a bargain price so I could buy more than I had initially expected to get. Quote
vlenhoff Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 I'm getting 2 of these beauties, maybe 3. I already paid for 2, but I'm thinking about ordering a third. I'm hopeless Quote
Chowser Posted February 8, 2006 Author Posted February 8, 2006 i might buy two more. i initially said one, but i keep looking at it and would like to get one for each mode for display. but i'll have to see how funding works out since i preordered the garland and the stealth and low vis 2. Quote
Fortress_Maximus Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Might buy less b/c of the pricing, all depends on the price. And if I miss it this time around oh wells, realistically they will reissue it. Quote
