erock Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 (edited) I thought I was finished with these things. Dammit all. Fast packs attach with magnets. That is badass. My burton snowboard pants have magnets on the storm flaps. I love magnets. Edited February 10, 2006 by erock Quote

Edit: Nahhh, it looks like a S (but seeing a 0J would be nice (and some thing to extend more bang for Yamato's bucks) 368816 The picture in the lower left corner is the upcoming Wave VF-0S model, not the Yamato toy. There is already a thread on that in the model forum. There is no such thing as a VF-0J. Graham Quote
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 I hope we get a ghost drone(which is cool since it can be used seperate OR in unison with the valk!), that not only has all the missle pods but also fixed pose hands for the VF-0. This thing looks so awesome!!! Quote

Die, Alien Scum! Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Sweet, Graham is back in Yamato's good graces! Just remember, this time keep the toys away from the crapper! LOL! Quote

Twoducks Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 It's going to be hard to hold my wallet for the VF-0D. Thanks for the picks Graham. Quote
Sumdumgai Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Low vis and stealth VF-0. They'll have to do it. You know it! Quote
Axelay Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Thank you so much for adding a page dedicated to the VF-0, Graham! This makes me . I am so looking forward to getting one of these. Quote

1994cobra Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 (edited) Holy Macross Goodness, that is bada$$. Cant wait! Only problem is, no Valk exchange to get one!! Edited February 10, 2006 by 1994cobra Quote
Apollo Leader Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 I was going to preorder with TMP, but it looks like they have outsold their preorder allotment. Though it's about $13 more then TMP, I went ahead and preordered through Big Bad Toy Store - http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/ - this morning. I'm very glad Yamato went with 1/60th though it's a bit pricy. Quote
ghostryder Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 There's also Samurai-Monkey. He's ordering another shipment when they are released, but he usually receives them and ships fast. ghostryder Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 I would love to see a finished product top shot, and compare it to the Hase model. I think Yamato got really close in the proportions, but maybe the nosecone is a bit too short/stubby? Quote
Shin Densetsu Kai 7.0 Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 It might be stubby to enclose the tbar hip section and the turnable pitot tube. It doesn't bother me really the only thing I could ask more is to have panel lines applied like they did on the old macross plus toys. Once they went VF-1 they stopped pre panel lining. Quote

God, I want this VF-0 so bad! Quote
ghostryder Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 (edited) edit - oops, the ventral fin numbers are stickers. Hey, I just noticed that with the nose and ventral fin numbers Tampo printed, almost all the other stickers can be obtained from the Takatoy 1/48 sheet, unless the scale difference is too drastic. I'm not sure the nose needed to be so short and stubby for the pitot tube or swing bar receptacle. I'm sure it was done to make the battroid more proportional. One minor thing that irks me. I do think that the cockpit/nose section overalll is closer to lineart than the 1/48's bulbous canopy - another feature that was not necessary and could have been easily corrected. Majestic Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 Hadn't really noticed the nose issue until it was pointed out and compared with the Hase. Interesting how truncated it looks on the 1/60 now to me (but still better than nothing and fantastic nonetheless). At least its not the terrible 1/100! Quote
ghostryder Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 ...still better than nothing and fantastic nonetheless). My wallet and I concur. Quote
Toonz Posted February 10, 2006 Posted February 10, 2006 you know what....i'd like to see how the pilot seat rotates.... Quote
1/1 LowViz Lurker Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 you know what....i'd like to see how the pilot seat rotates.... Yeah. Maybe have a clear plastic see through heat shield so we can see it in battroid mode. Quote
vf1_soulja Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 The VF-0 looks better every time new pics of it come out. When is it suppose to be released? Sorry for the question, I've been outta the Macross loop for a while... damn motorcycles! Quote
myk Posted February 12, 2006 Posted February 12, 2006 April, although now that I've mentioned it we'll be jinxed and get it later... Quote
Knight26 Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 Glad to hear that the rift with yamato has been closed Graham, I hope this means we will get some great news and inside highlights again. Quote

I think Yamato got really close in the proportions, but maybe the nosecone is a bit too short/stubby? 369027 I think the wings on the Yamato are shorter too. Those are the sacrifices needed to make the thing look good in all modes. The only other option is to do the dreaded parts swapping ala the 1/100 VF-0. I have to add though that this is really just a tiny nit-pick. I really think this toy rocks and rocks hard. Quote
VF-18S Hornet Posted February 13, 2006 Posted February 13, 2006 (edited) Well atleast they painted the missles foor the VF-0 Most of us had to paint the missile tips and ends on our 1/48 TV series VF-1's I have yet to do the same for my VF-1A Cannon Fodder and my VF-1J Hikaru like what I did for the Max and Millia VF-1J's Edited February 13, 2006 by VF-18S Hornet Quote
